Personally I think Kana and Aqua connect very well because in a lot of ways they're similar. Both are extremely talented at what they do, but they downplay their abilities as a way to keep their self image intact. Both have internalized an image of being defective or broken in some way, of never measuring up compared to the rest. Kana is a bit less self aware of this, but Aqua seems to intuitively know how she feels very well. He's an unbiased spectator to Kana so he sees her shine separate from her self perception. The same way others see Aqua's acting abilities but he doesn't see them himself.

Idk if you noticed but Kana and Ai have many parallels/similarities especially in the manga. Plus both became the center of B-Komachi.

JIF is based on TIF, Tokyo Idol Festival which is a huge event held in summer just for idol groups. It lasts two days and has tons of stages as we see here. It's held in Odaiba both on outdoor and indoor stages, Odaiba is the same place where they have the giant full size Gundam. Staff in the audience happens to drum up interest happens to, by making something seem more popular and busy than it is it will attract more people. I've done idol cheki and talk time that lasted longer than the usual minute for most smaller idol groups as the staff don't want the line to suddenly become empty as it looks like they have no fans, they also want to keep the members from getting bored and looking miserable.

So this is a bit of trivia, you can search the VA of Pieyon and the VA of the leader of the Cheerleader squad that Ishigami was in. They have the same VA, and even the same type of hairstyle, this pretty much confirms that they are the same person

Everything that's revealed about the characters on this show only makes you like/love them more, an the two scenes with Kana and Ruby are just everything. We get to see more of how much Ruby remembers from when she was Sarina. Equally tragic because Sarina died so young, and happy because it shows why she's so optimistic and cheerful. She's living the life she wanted as Sarina. Kana confirming what I suspected that a huge part of her not wanting to be center was that she was afraid to bring down Ruby and MEM-cho because she's lost confidence in herself to the point that she has a hard time accepting compliments or praise as being genuine.

Kana is going to need more hugs especially as the series goes along.

Even if we get a 2nd season, unless it's 24 episodes, it will be a while before we get to one of the key Ruby arcs. We are at about chapter 35-40 (from memory) of the manga now. A while until we get to the 70s and I doubt we will have an hour and a half long episode in season 2.

Season 2 is about to be the one of the greatest seasons in all of anime. I usually don't like it when anime ends on a cliffhanger, but as a manga reader, I hope they end on a cliffhanger to keep that hype built up.

I really feel kana when you have such high expectations for yourself and you don't meet them as time goes on you fall into negative self talk and take any complements as pity aka is a genius of writing characters that feel real even if they have exadurated traits

With the parallels to Ai with Kana (and Akane) it would be poetic for Aqua to kill his father while becoming his father at the same time. Or at least I feel like that's the looming thematic threat given what we've seen so far.
