He said it to potential investors. Tesla autos are finally able to barely keep up with parts demands and service demands. The rest of the truck industry has decades of successful sales and service. Tesla couldn't possibly service all those trucks so quickly.

Last year I've passed three of those EV semis (dark green) with a support vehicle behind them. They were moving 25 mile/hour on the freeway ascending Baker hill. Not sure if they had a load in the trailer or not. Assuming the support vehicle was a mobile charging station of some sort, since there's no way of charging those rigs.

In the interviews I've seen there was a thinly veiled contempt bubbling beneath the surface of the way she interacted with him. I wasn't sure whether or not it was just my imagination until I heard some of the things she's been saying about him more recently. For his part, I got the impression that he genuinely liked her and appreciated that she didn't suck up to him like a lot of people do. I didn't get the sense that he picked up on the underlying contempt, not until she turned openly nasty anyway.
