Part 2 of Royal Enfield Himalayan - Seattle, WA to Alaska was a huge pleasure to create. I put in some long, late hours on this and I hope you enjoy it. Consider liking, sharing or subscribing and all that fun KZfaq stuff.
The highlight of the episode is the customization of the Himalayan exhaust with Cerakote Ceramic to not only improve the look of the exhaust but to increase the life and longevity of the entire exhaust system and muffler. A huge thanks to Phil at Precision Cerakote (precisioncerakote.com) for helping to make my new Royal Enfield Himalayan a one-of-a-kind, personalized machine.
SERIES OVERVIEW
Follow along as I purchase a Royal Enfield Himalayan in Seattle, Washington and ride it for the first time EVER all the way back to Alaska. I even do some customizing to the bike along the way!
This is the second part of a series of videos covering my purchase of the 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan Himalayan, customizing the bike and exhaust with Cerakote Ceramic after only 300 miles, doing my first service, then continuing on through Banf National Park, Jasper National Park, the Canada Yukon and Alaska where I stopped at a magnificent glacier before arriving home.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is a 411cc adventure bike built in Indian and made available in the U.S. for the first time in 2018. Very few motorcyclists in the U.S. have had the experience of riding one let alone taking it for a near 3000-mile ride right from the showroom floor.
IN THIS MOTORCYCLE SERIES
○ At only 411cc's, how does it handle on American highways?
○ What's involved with the first service at 300 miles?
○ Can it hold up on a long-distance adventure?
○ Is it comfortable, capable, and does it handle well?
○ How does the bike look after a ceramic coating of the exhaust, skid plate and levers?
○ And what sort of scenery, wildlife and adventures do I experience on my 2,800-mile ride back to Alaska?
I hope you enjoy this series. Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE for the following parts and future Himalayan adventures in Alaska.

I have been fascinated by this bike since it was announced. The reviews I have seen ( probably the same ones you have viewed ) have all been nice. Your videos are very relaxing and will edited. I am 62, disabled, and broke now but I was an avid rider for two decades. I have done tons of touring on big bikes and truthfully, I would never have considered taking a long trip on a small bore thumper. You have courage young man! Like yourself, I am short. The bike just looks like it would be a good fit. I hope all is well and I look forward to seeing your next video. Until then, keep it upright! Remember ( to paraphrase Lori Petti in Point Break ) "Ridng is the source". Stay frosty.

I'm not sure if I have courage or just careless disregard. Maybe I just don't mind throwing caution to the wind. I do tend to take risks. You just gave me a great idea to do a few videos that are specifically catered to those who are unable to ride so they can put a cheapo VR headset on ($15-$30) with their phone (those can get pricey obviously), and get a good riding experience. In fact, there's probably enough POV riding videos out there right now to make someone feel like their back in the saddle. I know this guy in town who can't walk hardly, just a little. He actually has a trike with a platform/cage on the back that holds his wheelchair. You'll see him zipping down the highway 75mph with a wheelchair on the back of the trike. First time he passed me I didn't know what I was looking at. Pretty neat. Not that you're in that particular condition, I Just thought it was interesting to mention. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the video and great quote! Also, things are a bit frosty now. 🙂

Also with Royal enfield they are releasing two twin cylinder bikes. it'd be awesome seeing you got the himalayan turn around and buy the twin cylinder bike so as to do a motor swap to be the first guy with a twin cylinder himalayan mod. With the top of the cylinder coating it's a transparent ceramic. And extends the life of your engine by by preventing heat transfer in the first place. So your cylinder never gets burnt up

For all the improvements, the bike will look Liliputian since an average American bike is 6'to 6'3"tall and weighs 200to 220Lbs!.They prefer a cruiser bike like Harley Davidson or Indian chief bikes with 1000- 1200 CC Engines!.

It may be hand built, but it is no Rolls Royce. I am sure they would have produced better work if the bike cost a grand more. I am certain they could do equal quality to a European manufacturer if they charged twice the price. Personally I like the bike just the way it is. It is a honest hardworking bike.

Nice bike, I cannot say I prefer your exhaust black, now it just blends into the bike and that seems boring IMHO. I'm sure for utilitarian purposes it will help, especially in the harshness of Alaska. I would have picked another color option but its your bike and some people like chocolate and others vanilla.

I like strawberry... always the odd fellow. 😃 I'm a big fan of the raw exhaust. But I like this too. Part of the reason for doing it was due to circumstance. It was a good opportunity to work with my client Phil on a project. Also, turns out that up close that stock exhaust is a bit under-finished. For off-roading though who cares! Don't have to worry about scratches and stuff. Now I do. They'll just be my badges of honor I guess. 🙂 Thanks for watching.
