You are so good at this. This helps so many people who never got taught this sort of thing. It ought to be among the subjects required in high school before kids go out on their own and at age 18 become legal adults responsible for their own debts. And you are funny while teaching.

Love theses videos Kayla, love this! I don’t have a lot of extra Income after fixed bills but I try to avoid getting into any debt and pay off credit cards in full always. It’s easy to be tempted to not live by your means when so many people around you have the newest things but half the time they are in crippling debt. Xxx

How come this has so few views? Seems people prefer gossip..., although I consider myself to be a person that saves money, this video and the previous opened my eyes how I should track what I spend. Since I had a kid I got a little carry over on things for him and using this system will help. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing Kayla, this is such a valuable topic in life and marriage. My hubby and I could be better at doing this together. I'm happy you and Joe allocate money to spend together and individually.

Hey Kayla, we are also big Dave Ramsey fans, so glad you mentioned it. He is also a very big supporter of giving money away, as a Christian. We just recently started doing a budgeting system like this and I love it! It’s opened our eyes to where our money is going. It got us thinking about our mortgage too... A random suggestion, but some of you might benefit from refinancing your mortgage at a lower interest rate. Rates are like at all time lows right now. My husband and I are in the process of doing this and it is going to save us several hundred dollars a month! Just wanted to share in case anyone else wants to look into it too!

Something else to consider is instead of making one monthly payment making two half payments. It greatly reduces the amount of interest paid of the life of the loan. This only works if your lender counts it as two payments though and doesn't hold the first half payment until you make the second half payment.

I'm so thankful for this video you helped me get my budget in order. I'm actually so glad here in Australia my bank actually has similar program built into the app for my bank that you set up categories and budgets for each and it tracks it automatically for you based off where you have assigned a certain shop in the past it goes into that category. Soo easy and so good for keeping on top of my budget. The only bummer is you can't change the category names you just have to use there's but its still great.
