I am glad to see how wheels looks inside. I have bought hoverboard that has plastic (!) plate instead aluminum or magnesium alloy. Motors overheats and screws get loose after every 500 meters. Returned it to the seller (bought locally), but did not get refund yet (paid over $200). They sent it to some repair shop to test my claims that it is really bad board. Now bought used hoverboard with 10" inflatable wheels - what a difference!!! Small rocks and cracks in the concrete does not bothers me anymore. And battery seems last forever - my legs hurt, but battery still holds. No name, no brand... unknown origin, just amazing stuff for $130 (used). And it has bluetooth, not real sound quality, but id does not matter. Thanks for this video, it is inspiring.

The reason why you measured short on the charger port, is because the whole power rail was shorted because of the two blown mosfet. Thankfully the bms in the battery switched itself off, so the whole thing didn't go up in flames. As you removed the battery, the bms no longer sensed a shorted therminal and turned itself back on as it supposed to.

Awesome video! 11:08 light sensor is triggered by weight you stand, whereas forward /backward/acce/speed is controlled by gyro-sensor on the same board

If you have a red flashing light on one side and it wont move and Recalibrate doesn't fix it... Check all plugs and wires are getting good connection (Especially the 5 wire sockets). If they are and it still don't move then it probly has a blown output fet on the side thats red. They're easy to change.. MAKE SURE BATTERY IS UNPLUGGED!! Measure the Mosfets, 6 on a heatsink per side(GDS)... Usually only 1 or 2 short... DMM to Diode, Neg on Center pin (Drain), Gate approx +1.5v, Source approx .5v. YST7575C crosses to RU6888R 68v 88a TO220

I just got a hover board and it worked fine. It was a hands free smart board x2 from swagtron. I works great but it doesn't charge like the others have posted below. When I plug in the charger the red light on the charger turns to green right away and the board just doesn't charge. I know that the charger light should be red when charging. The charging port is plugged in to the mother board. Would the board be defected or would you guess it would be the charger?

Mine would not calibrate so I opened it up and come to find out it was a yellow wire that was pinched near the center of the board. I repaired it it works great

Hello. Help me please. I click on the power button, and the scooter does not turn on. There is a squeak and squeaks all the time while I hold the button. The wheel rotates on one side if I hold the power button and press the pedal buttons. The wheel starts to rotate smoothly and accelerates when turning (tilting) and if you change the direction of inclination the wheel first brakes and then begins to rotate in the other direction. I can assume that the battery is alive. Wheel windings are good means faulty in the motherboard. Please tell me where to look for a fault and a possible method of troubleshooting. Not that this matters on a 6 year old video but the foot switches have nothing to do with what direction the hoverboard travels. They are to sense when both feet are firmly planted on the board. The gyroscopes [solid-state] then detect the change in orientation of the rider [lean forward, lean backward, etc] and propel the motors in the appropriate direction and speed.

hello sir after a ride of 15 minutes when we restart our scooter it denies instead it continuously beeping and when we step on it beeps chnge and led blinks.when we look at the motherboard a tiny red led blink twice continuously.please help

So a MOSFET failure (maybe from overheating) is something to look for when troubleshooting circuits. That is sometimes there's no other underlying problem, just that the heatsink was insufficient for heat generated with normal use?
