Vedanta is one of the world’s most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest. Based on the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India, Vedanta affirms the oneness of existence, the divinity of the soul, and the harmony of religions.
Vedanta Society of New York is affiliated with the Ramakrishna Order of India. In fact, this is the Order's first Center started by Swami Vivekananda, in 1894. It was a historic event, for the seed of the world-wide Ramakrishna Movement was sown here in New York over a century ago. Swami Sarvapriyananda is the present Resident Minister and Spiritual Leader of the Vedanta Society of New York.

Kundalini Yoga is really something i did it for sometime for couple of years at beginners stage and even at that stage you are superhuman. I can only imagine the powers of higher levels.

Kundalini yoga is also a good path. I'm a practitioner of Kundalini yoga and it makes a lot of changes within me. Combining kundalini and the self enquiry path is much quicker for the realization.

Could you two watch Swami Prabhavananda lecture on "Blessed are the Pure in Heart". He was a direct disciple of Swami Brahmananda, who was a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna and friend of Vivekananda. Swami Brahmananda was reffered to by Sri Ramakrishna as his spiritual son. Swami Prabhavananda was not only a disciple of Swami Brahmananda, but also Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, Ramakrishna's Spiritual Consort. You can see the direct experience, purity, and utmost tranquility in his eyes whilst giving the lecture. It is in black and white but I am very fond of Prabhavananda. Thanks..

If by advaita experience we mean eventual yoga or cosmic communion ie, when this miniscule is totally lost (oblivious of body/mind awareness/function, space, time, identity or memory in a wakeful state) into or synchronous or in connect or aligned with That immanent/Absolute, then that (ascension) also (as are many varied extrrnal spiritual paths) happens/propelled through chakras (eg, Crown) only. So, mere philisophical enquiry (or practice of any of the varied spiritual paths) without sufficient complementary/underlying chakra function may not result in aparokshanubhooti.
