This Galaxy was destroyed because of one Envoy saying "You are as dumb as a box of rocks"

This is my head cannon for what happens to this galaxy. After the Greed convert every sentient life in the galaxy they decide there is nothing left to be done so they abandon their structures and dig deep into their worlds and sleep. Millenniums pass and eventually new races evolve from the primitive life that were not seen as worthy hosts. They expand from their home systems only to find a galaxy devoid of any living civilizations older than themselves but littered with the remnants of massive battles and many ancient civilizations now long dead, some clearly destroyed in battle while others seem to just be abandoned without any trace of their former inhabitants. Eventually the soul survivors of the last era are found, a group of broken machines protecting a damaged ringworld. At first their is great panic as the last survivors the machines are assumed to be responsible for the disappearing civilizations but after much study and a few brief skirmishes it becomes obvious that the machines weapons do not match the damage to the remnants found across the galaxy. Despite many attempts to get the machines to tell what happened to the galaxy they only ever give one answer, The Stone Sleeps. Meanwhile in some quiet corner of the galaxy a prosperous mining colony celebrates their newest developments in mining technology which allows them to dig deeper than ever before and tap into hereby unheard of riches including huge numbers of beautiful large gemstones.

It’s actually kind of refreshing to see Lathrix struggle with the endgame crisis for once

If i had the skills i could TOTALLY see a mod to turn this empire into a fourth endgame crisis. Have too many lithoids in the galaxy (particularly the ones that eat planet cores) and eventually you just breach a planet core that has these spiders crawling out and bursting out into the galaxy trying to necrophage everything.

Would be hilarious if having 'defender of the galaxy' makes you the first target of the crisis

Lathrix after almost every full playthrough: this was _so_ _much_ *fun* ! Also, I love how Lathrix Neutron Swept the planet named Beauty

I like how the AI empires put up a little resistance this time, unifying into a massive federation to thwart you and earlier they declared multiple simultaneous wars forcing you to peace a few out. Normally it seems like you just stomp them out but they actually had a bit of fight this time

I can just imagine sentient species one day accidentally rousing the bringers of stone from their slumber and they are the end game crisis like the necrons from 40k

conquering a whole large galaxy was certainly a choice! Less for a challenge for yourself then a challenge for your PC. I still loved every minute of it. The necrophages seem like fun and nice people to be honest. Nothing to see here, just plain old 'good guys'. 10/10 would have a little stone spider pet or two

Sneaky empire name change to “bringers of sadism”

They should make a rare mid game crisis where if there are a lot of xenomorphs in the galaxy then a queen is born and forms a parasitic hive mind that consumes all and is like a mix of the flood and aliens from alien

He did so well turning the Galaxy to stone, that it turned his computer to stone as well.

those are some really impressive shields that can withstand the heat of a star.

I made my own necrophage after your first video and the weird thing is how similar our maps are. I also started in the SE of the galaxy and the Khan spawned in the NW, and when the Khanate broke up, it created massive border gore lol. The problem I'm having now is that the Zealots were next to me and awoke SUPER early and started the War in Heaven. The improved AI is both taking planets, neutron sweeping worlds, and bombing them into Fractured Worlds (from a Fallen Empire mod I use). I think I might actually lose for the first time in a long time.

How about a 1 planet challenge where you aren’t allowed to own a fleet but only build one from federations, a galactic union specifically. Really try to be the goodest guys.

Next full playthrough, id love to see some kind of marauder type empire with your focus being on pillaging empires for their people and resources to work as slaves and to be converted, as well as setting up a hegemony to lord over them and the galaxy as a whole

Lathrix if you do another quest for Neter campaign run can you try to do a submarine only or at least submarine focused run? I find submarines really cool for some reason. To hell with it I would be happy if you just made a submarine as one of your main vehicles that you used a lot in the campaign and maybe upgraded it throughout the play through. But of course, only a suggestion. Do what you want, I love your content no matter what you post.

One thing you can do to speed up ship movement is build a gateway directly on top of the L-gate in Terminal Egress to effectively combine the two networks.

I've got a suggestion for another run. It could work in a full playthrough or episodic style. So basically you take your planet protectors idea from a while ago and create the antithesis. The empire would be void dwellers and they think the planets are demons or something like that (lore can be just about anything). They would only live in habitats, ring worlds, tomb worlds, or worlds that will undergo the arcology project very soon after colonization. Again all of those are just base ideas that can be heavily changed to fit the lore you create. The only other thing I would add is the main goal of the empire is to crack all gaia worlds with the colossus. They utterly despise those worlds. Im open to all criticism, but I think this idea has a lot of potential. (Posting this on multiple videos so it has a higher chance of being seen)

I love these videos absolutely!!!! They are wonderful.

The Stellaris devs are working on a population rework. Essentially it will make the game less laggy (no more extreme hitches at the end of the month caused by counting the resources output of each individual pop) and less micromanaging (they will add sort of a automatic migration) As a bonus, the enemys will probabli get smarter when it comes to pop management and buildings. There will be more reworks in the near future. (Like planetary and ringworld reworks)

I usually run Gestalt Robo Researches and love this game for it. A few questions if you see this. Machine world or Ring World for a start? And will you ever do a video(s) about how to start a run, since early game is so important to a run?

the fact that lathrix actually tries to manage every world he conquers as opposed to resettling or just hitting with a planet killer is incredible im so mistrustful of automated planet management that after taking about 1/4th or 5th of the galaxy i just give up and kill everyone instead because of how many planets id have to manage my largest empires tend to reach around 2000 pops 200 years in and here he is with 8200 at 176

Excellent as always. Also, I feel inclined to mention that I don't think these full playthroughs are hurting you in the way you think. The simple fact is, Stellaris videos are already somewhat niche, and I don't know a single other person who makes full campaign vids as frequently as you do. The ease with which you handily stomp a **x25 difficulty!** is completely overlooked b/c you're simply that good. You need a new challenge. Increased hyperlane density maybe? Would really offset your ability to use chokepoints (since the AI lacks this ability). Or just a Criminal Corp with all the mods, b/c you haven't done that in ages.
