I like how considerate his mother was. She really took his thoughts, feelings, and perspective into consideration. My mom doesn’t even know who I am.

I grew up listening to rock on the radio with my dad. I always thought AIC was so badass, but never really listened to them until now. What an incredible band. I'm an abstaining addict, and some of these songs hit home so hard.

Nancy kicked Layne out as a teenager. He was homeless and starving when I met him. I have my journals from those days and wrote down what was said and done by him when he was in Sleze and when we hung out. Those of us who really knew him knows just how badly he was treated by her. Perhaps if he had the love and support, he could have kicked his habits? She was never in his life until he made it. Sad truth.

Sad to read this, I thought they had a good relationship and what made him start to shoot H was the trauma caused by his dad. Do you know when he started using heroin?

I don't think that's true at all his dad left when he was 7 and obviously his mother raised him alone. I don't think it's at all accurate to say she wasn't in his life until he made it,his father however never came back until Layne got famous and that is indeed a fact and then he just used Layne to buy drugs,so I hardly think Nancy is the villain here.

Sounds like real truth. Thank u for shearing your opinion, I felt something in common about his childhood.. he for sure just had been left alone in his teens age as his was left those two weeks laying dead💔

It's truly is astonishing that his own mother didn't know he was dead. My heart is saddened to know that he wasn't missed for that long he was truly alone and I know what that feels like it's a horrible feeling drugs were no drugs family and friends are family and friends period. The harder they push you away is the harder you have to push back and never abandon someone with such a horrible affliction these are words that come from experience

He was a recluse and wasn't seeing anyone for years before his death, he wouldn't answer the door or phone for family members or friends.

What you are saying is not wrong, however, to put a burden like that on loved ones is something to think about. No one can live for you.
