Oh, these papers are just adorable! I love the squishy bears and the majestic, but modest, stags. Every time you do a month,y kit, I think this one is my favorite. Then you come along and make next month’s and I like it even more!

Your Goodwill is much nicer, bigger and way more organized than the Goodwills and thrift shops where I live. Most of the time they are a jumbled mess and it's very difficult to find anything! I was very impressed with the book section, I was amazed at how organized it is!

I’m a recovering perfectionist who continues to fail at least once ( ok several times ) a day. I was actually talking about you this evening while videoing live in a group I’m in. ( regarding your pod cast and the 3 different gals 3 different locations completely different artist 👩‍🎨 yet still the same ! And lol while telling how very much I loved that you were a perfectionist and truly have come to terms with it and you are really enjoying it, that you are creatively appreciated by all who did not see themselves as an artist due to how “fussy” they were with how things should be to us as individuals. I totally remember the session you had with Luisa !! Oh my lord, so fun !! And you have done a wonderful job incorporating your gelli prints in to your winter kit how beautiful awwww the clip art!! Im already creating a story with this kit for my grand girls 13 ,11 ,and 7 & 7 !!! Oh dear thank you , Barbara! So unique from so many others. I love creating journals with stories. Lastly ( almost forgot the most important thing lol 😂 I found the jade paint in a chalk paint and oh my goodness, a bit expensive BUT - it will be well used and loved especially with the 4 journals for the girls so all the cousins will have the same “glue-diary’s “ as they lovingly call them. Well my joy !! For a “lazy girls cover” you have done an outstanding job. So much Funabashi inspiration. Bye for now from USA

These are not colors I normally use, too modern. However, these papers are irresistible. Just have to use them. I don't usually use anything cute, but these children and animals are charming. Beautiful work and a great tutorial for a simple altered book. Thanks!

Loved the field trip to your local discount store! So interesting…. Our shelving is so different. Also - our jewellery is much less expensive. We have fewer books (but still a lot - yours looks like a whole central library). …. Fwiw … I make mistakes all the time. It’s ok. It’s only paper. It’s evidence of a human hand and is “accidental” interest. We are putting in deliberate messes all the time. 💕💕❤️

I enjoy spending time doing all pages & the covers and take my time to do it to my liking. I never rush it or short-cut it because the journey is an enjoyable part of the journal. If I'm feeling lazy then I don't do creative art. It's like cooking--if I want easy then I make a sandwich, not homemade chicken & noodles.

I was so excited, “Omg, we’re going to an Austrian thrift store! “ I don’t know what I was expecting to see, maybe some second hand furniture from one of the castles? Old Von Trapp records? Cast-off Dresden China? Vintage Klimt prints? But it looked just like the thrift stores in the US! Same sort of stuff! (Although the books were organized more nicely than they are In our thrift stores.) Well, the world is getting smaller but there is nothing small about your talent and skill, Barbara! Morning Barbara, thank you for this video, it came at just the right time. I have to make a Wedding Journal for a friend and the cover is soooooo UGLY. Mustard Yellow!!!!🤢 Now I know how to go about altering it properly. I think you must have read my mind, if I had just gone ahead and done it, I would not have made a very good job of it. 🤔 Now, I have a chance to make it half way decent.😌 Thank you for your inspiration and always being so clear and precise, it helps a lot. Can't wait to see the rest of the December Kit, it looks so lovely, very whimsical and magical, just like the Christmases my Gran used to tell me about, she, and my Grandfather were German, so a lot of our traditions the family followed, was German inspired. Loved the whimsy and magic she created for us. 🌲🌲 (Here I go again, once I start, I cannot stop!!!!!🤫🤫) Anyway ............ Hi Barbara, I love this second hand store! So much nicer than the “Goodwill” in the states. I can see it would be a problem for me, I’d be in there everyday spending money. LOL 💕
