The plaintiff is a home health aide and worked for the defendant. She claims the defendant treated her more like a servant, so she’s suing for unpaid wages. The defendant thinks the plaintiff is suing for more than she owes.

My mom will be 72 next month and getting to the point where she shouldn't be driving (as much). But any time we try to have this conversation with her, she raises holy hell. No one can reason with her...my dad, my grandma, my aunts (her mom and sisters), my sisters, me...she just makes excuses and gets downright combative. So I just bought my son a car for his senior year so he won't have to ask (her) for rides. I'll be getting my daughter a car next year for the same reason.

But the fussing he has to put up with, cuz my mom is getting MEAN...whew! God bless his patience. But if you outright tell my mom she doesn't need to be driving, get ready for a verbal assault. They're mentally competent enough to function, so you can't tell them ANYTHING. We've put a location tracker on her phone, though...smh...but telling her kids ain't gonna do anything because she's not going to listen to them, either! @@urluvizmyluv1999 well, I didn't sense that from her. But we don't know these people, so I'm definitely not going to judge in that manner... Especially by being an elderly lady. The elderly people that came before us went through so much, it's understandable that they have some resentment and possibly a little bit of hatefulness in them. I am grateful for their Journey

Our society is really plauged with some serious ageism. People leave jobs all their time due to an imperfect relationship with their employer. The plantiff leaving her job has nothing do with defendants age.

I just like to give a special shout-out to the elderly people that are kind. I don't know this senior citizens situation totally. I do know for a fact there are senior citizens that's when I feel that they are above the law and they don't feel the need to talk down to people. I can pray when I get older that I get better with time as far as trying to be positive. Whatever the case I'm glad that they were able to work it out.

I love my elders, but let's be trutfhful... older people can be cantankerous, crotchety, churlish, and surly. I mean downright cruel, but still somewhat loving... esp when they're highly independent. You can be old yourself, but if youre 10-20yrs younger than them, they see you as a child, and you can't tell them nothing... 😆 You can hang it up... But again, truthfully... once they hit about 80, they've earned that right, and they literally mean no harm, they can't harm you, other than their sharp tongue. I like Ms Willa, I'd love to just sit back, listen about her experiences, and her life journey. Those are the best documentaries. ❤

I don't agree. Just because you're 83 doesn't give her the right to endanger her passengers and act rude. I'm 60. I was taught to respect elders but these new old heads test your patience. If she's that independent to drive, she can take care of herself. Her kids would put her in a home. This plaintiff was kind and patient, education doesn't give you the right to talk down to people.

Ms. Willard was a mess in court so I can only imagine the hell she gave the plaintiff when working for her. I love how Judge Mathis has a way with people. He was able to speak in a language that Ms. Williard could receive criticism. How about that look on Doyle face when Judge said the defendant could drive his car...lol.
