honestly dude they were really cherry picking information. Also they blatantly lieid at the beginning. Like literally, that was a lie on their part. James roach's statement of a hiatus was vague enough to either mean himself or the game itself. but more so it was just the end of tumblr post wher ehe was talking about one of the songs featuring in act 2. and generaly though it was a hopeful one that heavily implied that they were doing Act 2 and beyond. and one apologizing about how they haven't been able to give information. jamesroachmusic.tumblr.com/post/178553282342/old-secret-here-it-is-folks-i-think-this-song-was link to that very post. sooo yea they are basically fullah shit in that regard. In addition to them firing everyone at what pumpkin. they didn't fire 'everyone at what pumpkin. that is a lie as well. several were laid off yea but there was no indication of them being emptied of employees. not to mention this was like a year afterwards. and a big thing to note about the peeps who got laid off, most of them were music guys and, also, none of them seemed bitter and they are all hopeful about returning to the project later. pretty sure that if there was bad blood there that would have hsown. and a lot of the people laid of are actaully working on the Friendsims too. so they are still involved with it if on an unofficial level. So yea take into account they blatantly lied about several aspects here.

So there's still hope for Act 2?

fanbases are made of at least four groups. the first group are the Fad group, guys that get drawn in because of its populairt but may depart later on as the popularity declines. then you have the core group, the true fans of the work that discuse and create. the third group is the obsessive group. they are the group that care a bit too much and will go overboard to defend or criticize whatever the fandom is built around. the final part is the invasive Trolls. they often jump onto the third group, inciting anger and encouraging negative behavior. they aren ot fans at all and are merely looking for a medium to cause trouble through, and fandoms are a big one. Problem is people will often lose track of the core group or even the fad group behind the obsessive and the trolls. negative things drawn our iattention more than positive ones. so hussie likely lost track of the positive elements of the fandom and couldn't seperate the two. then again it hard to do that. you can't make people who will cause trouble stay out, a fandom is too open and large.
