We thought it would be interesting to show how the same mind that thinks of wacky kid cartoons about pink sand golems can use that same cinematography and worldbuilding for a much darker use.
Season finale of Aleks' Dream Series with probably one of the most fucked up dreams I've ever heard. Its not for the light of heart. (But theres also Will smith in a Wal-Mart coat rack! So feel free to drop out after that.

I feel like Aleks was poised to be a cinematic prodigy, but he barred 90% of his brain's processing power from anything but dream generation. Also, fucked up dreams are a common occurrence. The moral of Neil I got is "what makes you better makes you dangerous." The candle imagery is showing him slowing his burn, controlling his flame. Honestly inspired.

It actually comes from my many attempts at lucid dreaming while I was younger. One of the easiest things to do is just keep a dream journal, when you write your dreams down future dreams become easier to remember. You want to write dreams down as soon as you wake up by the way, because when you get up and do your little morning routine your brain pretty much just dumps everything you dreamed about, unless it was like a super important dream or some shit. I don't write in the journal as much anymore. Now I just get up and type it all to Tad. just typing it or writing it alone is enough to make your brain remember it. tldr: just keep a dream journal

Have you tried active imagination, or anything similar? Active imagination is a kind of meditation developed by Carl Jung I read about in The Red Book, in which you close your eyes and have an internal dialogue between yourself and a character you invent in your mind. At least, this is how I did it. At first, it feels like you're just talking to yourself, because that's exactly what you're doing, but after a long enough time passes, the character in your mind seems to develop its own will and it feels like you're communicating with someone else entirely. When I did this for long enough, with the same character in two different sessions, the character began to say and do all sorts of mind-blowing things that I would never have thought of on my own, which is strange considering that it's all happening inside my own imagination. The result was like a lucid dream you have when you're awake, adventuring into parts of your mind you didn't realize were there. This was at least my experience, it's pretty fascinating. Maybe you can talk to Bindaman and go on more adventures.

So, interesting story. I listened to the first 20 minutes of this, went to sleep because my phone was on 1% (I'm listening to the other half as I write this) and my dream was terrifying when asleep and when I woke up at like 3.AM but now I'm laughing at it. In short, I was updating my laptop in my room at night, then I was at my school in the ICT Suet in the daytime and their PCs were like Windows 94! So I'm all like, "I'm gonna update this shit!" So I do, I'm suddenly back in my room at night with my laptop updating and then it gets creepy. You know that animation of Ronald Mcdonald talking with really sharp teeth? (It's from some horror site) It was like that but with the Cat in the Hat (The Movie's design of him) and he speaks to me in a really demonic voice. I can't quote him but he told me how he killed an old couple (I will assume my brain thought of this because of The Cat in the Hat with a Bat meme), Muriel and Eustace from Courage the Cowardly Dog, He said how he used Muriel's skin to make a shirt and shoes and how he used Eustace's skin to make trousers and socks and that I would be next. He proceeded to slowly scroll to the bottom of the screen but I slammed my laptop shut in fear and went to sleep in my bed. This was the point that I woke up from my dream at 3.AM and was too scared to open my laptop ( a combination of both fear of the Demon in the Hat and the thought of my laptop now being Windows 94. I also had another dream that was really cool that included a lot of tits and swimsuits.

I very rarely dream but when I do it normally seems to have been caused by a thought or event that happened in the day. But this time, I can't figure out why I dreamed this, I hadn't had any kind of thoughts about any of the things in the dream for maybe a few months.

When I dream it's often becuase of something i felt or thought during the day but with more space elephants and basement demon SCPs and night elf school girls. I haven't had any vivid nightmares since I was in elementary school, just ones which I remember when I wake up. But whenever I have sleep paralysis it is automatically terrifying. I make sure I don't open my eyes and go back to sleep as soon as possible. Like seriously the last couple times I had sleep paralysis it was instantly freaky demon face shit directly in front of my face.

I've only had one reocurring nightmare, it started when I was maybe 5 and ended when I was 7, it only happened maybe twice a year. Basically, It was just me running through my Auntie's house but it was filled with branching and twisted pathways; I don't know how I knew but I was being chased by the Moon Monster [ goo.gl/aQ8Vyf ] from the original Scooby-Doo (This thing fucking terrorfied me as a kid due to a combonation of the choppy animation, design and its creepy as shit laugh) but I would always eventually escape out the front door and the dream would end...Except for the last time that I ever had it, the final time I had the dream, there was one time when I hesitated and stayed in place when I encountered 3 branching paths, that decision came back to haunt me. As I was just about to reach the door and escape, it grabbed me and started carrying me away. It was at this point where I used that trick where you close your eyes for 3 seconds and then open them to force yourself to wake up from a dream (Sometimes I would accedentally do this when having a good dream but It was really handy to escape a nightmare.) I've never had the dream since and probobly never will, I never found out what it planned to do or where the monster was taking me.

Callum Jones the first episode we had to salvage from a bad backup source. it's better in the subsequent better and goes up in quality from there forward. we might make a catchup episode for people to start at to get past the rough start
