You can make 450-500 with full bolt-ons but the Biggest factor when making more hp is getting it tuned. There’s only one tuner in the states that’ll work on them and that is Loi. I haven’t heard anyone going through the trouble of putting an ISF v8 in. This is a heavier vehicle so I don’t see the benefit of putting one in. That’s IF you got an ISF engine/trans.

Don't quote me on this as I've not seen it done, but the 5 litre 2UR (both the GS460 and the ISF use the UR series of engine, not the UZ, which is an older generation) should be a fairly easy swap from a physical perspective as it is the same block, it should just drop right in to the standard engine mount points. Not sure you might have to swap the oil pan as there might be differences in shape between the IS and GS platforms to clear things like steering rack - that'd be easy to sort out regardless. Transmission etc should bolt up fine too I'd expect as they both use the exact same 8 speed transmission. I would suspect the issues would come with exhaust manifolds as the heads are no doubt quite different in that area - and you might have issues with ancillaries being different, needing a larger radiator etc. - don't know. Then you'd have to work out some kind of engine management, but I'm not an electronics guy so can't provide any assistance there - might be possible to swap in the ECU from the ISF but my feeling is you'd probably need some intervention to make it work without giving you warnings etc. I can understand why you'd think about doing it though, as the channel owner states, it is a slightly heavier vehicle (not as much as you'd think though, it's only around a hundred kilos/220lb if I recall correctly), but it is also a far more spacious and comfortable vehicle - the IS is pretty tiny and really not that great on long trips for taller people or if you have rear passengers, and it's fairly noisy and crashy - whereas the GS is a road trip hero & just a more practical car.
