When you send it in they exchange your movement for a new (or serviced) unit, for very fast turnaround. Your old movement is then serviced and put in someone elses watch etc etc.

.....it's a $700 watch. not sure it's worth servicing. i'd just wear to failure and replace. agree, the plastic is inexcusable.

I have the old version CO7.111 Lot's of people on the internet claim that it can't be serviced. My question is the same as the above... Can it be serviced? It works great, but still

is ETA 2824-2 itself antimagnetic? or is it just the powermatic?

It depends on the model, as the base Nivarox hairspring is resistant, but not truly antimagnetic. Nivachrome is very antimagnetic, and silicon is amagnetic.
