As my kid gets ready to go to college we are trying to figure out the best way to even pay for community college as she wants to be an art teacher. This is gross and stupid that they only get a couple of months to 2 years for this crap. Never forget that the rich would love nothing more than to walk all over us. These comments are hilarious. I wonder if Olivia knows absolutely NO ONE CARES about her opinions on this. Her rich parents broke the law, disrespected the efforts of people who achieve academically, dodged the punishment anybody who isn't a wealthy celebrity would get, and she STILL gets an ivy league education. Screw the whole lot of them. We live in an age where "entertainers", clowns, apparently have the most influence over our society and our lives, and are showered in wealth. I appreciate the arts, but I dont consider any of them to be my role models.

She's not academic, or just didn't bother trying in school and her parents were embarrassed that their child had not achieved the grades required to go to these top Uni's. They were bothered about how the family would appear in their social circles. Appearance is more important to them than honesty. This was a valuable lesson for her, and I'm not sure she's entirely taken it on board, only time will tell. Just because you're rich doesn't mean you're smart. There are plenty of children in poor families that are intelligent and do have the ability to attend these Uni's, but they can't afford it. Those that deserve to go, usually don't get the chance.

why are people allowing this to just be glossed over? because she’s famous? it’s so ridiculous that she can just return to her life like this without any repercussions for her actions

That's what happens when mommy and daddy have a lot of money. Same old, same old.

I think race in this situation wasn’t the case I think it’s more the money and privileges that they have with their money same as the smiths they know that they could get away with it too, anyone who has money like that could get away with this not just Olivia and her family. Glad she spoke up and I’m praying she really does realize that it was wrong and that she can still live her life the same as before

Doesn’t make sense it’s a state school they probably woulda got accepted regardless and payed way less for tuition than the bribe money I really don’t get it.

SHE IS A PRODUCT OF HER PARENTS! I am not even mad at her. She was a dumb privilege teenager that didn’t know any better! She was forced into college!! She said it herself “I hate school”. This was ALL her parents fault. Shame on them! The only thing she should take responsibility for was not calling out her parents while committing this crime!
