Please refrain from trusting his sister with your children at this time. Regardless of how smiley she is in front of you, she has allegedly told Justin that she would harm your kids. No matter how sweet she may seem, she is still supposedly mentally unstable. Be extremely vigilant and continue to protect your babies.

She might not listen to your words of caution. Self-hatred and inferiority complexes in many Black people will cause them to believe what non-Black people tell them as if they are the Gospel. Frankly, if one of my relative despised a person, I would never take her to my sick relative's hospital bed.

Mom doesn’t disapprove because you aren’t Korean, but more likely because you are part black. I am 25% black (father’s side) and my mother is Korean. Growing up in Korea, they called me Gahm-doong-ee (n-word in Korean) all the time. If you were white, she wouldn’t treat you with so much vile. It really makes me sick, watching you all these years and you yearning for her acceptance, being shunned and refused even in their garage way back when, etc. Your heart is beautiful, your children are beautiful, your love story is beautiful. Your little family is deserving of all the love in the world. ❤

So sad you had to go through that. Something tells me Koreas love of whiteness and anti-blackness comes from the Christian religion that most of the nation was indoctrinated into by the American government during and after the Korean War. It’s an odd coincidence that anywhere on this earth that is not majority white, but is majority Christian has the same type of bigotry and white favoritism.
@MultiDarkAngel91

that is not true. I am white and my korean MIL calls me a prostitute and showed up to my wedding with an extra bride. During our first thanksgiving as a married couple, my MIL tried to talk my husband into seeing another woman on the side who is korean. she also told me Im lucky because i get to keep their name. as a result, i have not seen nor talk to her for 5 years. so being white wouldnt improve your situation

The hair salon, grocery stores and book stores would charge me more than their Korean counterparts. At a Korean wedding, most of the female koresn guests gave me the silent treatment. The mother of the groom wanted me kicked out for being white and called me a slut. She was very embarressed when I spoke Korean to her. from my personal experince, Korean women hate outsiders

Make sure your husband will stand by you and lets his mum know in no uncertain terms that any disrespect Or racist behaviour towards your children is not going to be tolerated. The Aunt who raised me did not approve of my choice in life partner because of his nationality. I left home at 16. At the age of 28 I made the decision ON MY TERMS to offer her the opportunity to form a relationship with my young children (2 & 3 years old at the time). My first duty as a parent is to protect them from abuse. I informed her that if I felt she was demonstrating any behaviour toward them that was derogatory or negative then she would never see any of us again. It was in the third visit that I overheard her making an off Color comment to my cousin about my son growing up to be a wife basher ( because italians can’t control their emotions and anger apparently?). I promptly informed her that she had been warned and that we were leaving. She looked shocked. She was arrogant enough to believe I would let it slide. My kids didn’t need to grow up feeling there was something wrong with them and they were not worthy of respect. The world is a tough enough place without your grandparents treating you with disrespect.

I pray that his family will now open their doors and hearts to you and your kids so that they can enjoy whatever time they have left knowing that their grandchildren love and adore them. Your children will grown up experiencing that love as well. God bless you and your family. I pray that Justin's mom makes a full recovery.

As a white mother of 3 children their father being black I am proud of my children and if either side of our families didn't like we were mixed couple we would walk on. Didn't need anyone's approval.

You are White, so you probably do not suffer from an inferiority complex. As is typical, this Black woman is basing her self-esteem on her acceptance by those non-Black people. She is the type who will accept degradation and humiliation just to be in their company. Respectfully and a word of caution, please make sure that your non-White children do not have this sense of self-loathing, even if others are not aware of it. This woman is really sad, and the old lady is afraid of facing God because she is closer to death than not and fear she will be reprimanded for her hatred.

You are a very patient and non judgemental person. You are someone that doesn't hold grudges. Thats how I see you. I would be angry that so much time was lost not having a relationship with their grandchildren. Me being a grandmother, that kind of relationship is so important and cannot be replaced by anyone. And it must've been very painful just to think what your husband was going through knowing his Mother wanted nothing to do with his children. But, thats just me. I hope things continúe to become more friendly and close as a family. My advice is to take it slow. Justin's mom seems to be a person that becomes overwhelmed very easily. Don't become pushy about visits. She'll have her daughter to help her along at home. I wish the best for all of you.

Justin's parents and sister have had an epiphany. The Lord truly works in mysterious ways and is always a great leveller. In this time of adversity, they have been moved to acknowledge the existence of Sarah who has been part of their extended family for so long and has, with Justin, created three of the most delightful grand children, neices, nephew they could ever have dreamed of. So much able bodied time has been wasted, now, the mother in law will be learning many things some again, some for the first time. I sincerely hope she makes the best recovery body and soul so that this fractured family can at, long last, heal. Bless you all.

My mother-in-law didn't accept me until I was expecting her first grandchild. We were married eight years before we had a baby. Once my mother-in-law accepted me, then my husband's sister and brother started talking to me. My inlaws were divorced, so thankfully, my father-in-law accepted me from the beginning. The division was over religion in our case. You were very kind to bring food and of course, your baby boy! I hope things are continuing to improve. Life is too short. ❤

Hi Sarah, I followed your channel for the past few years. Wonderful to see your family grow and flourish. It is also a blessing that your children and yourself are able to enjoy time and memories with Justin"s family. Your grace, forgiveness and willingness to reach out to your in-laws despite of what they did in the past shows how an amazing person you are. May God continue to bless you and your loved ones.

Can you imagine someone having to take up the courage having to put everything they got, having to gather alllll their strength to finally meet you after disapproving of you not because you are a bad person. Not because you have done something so unforgivably wrong. Not that you got some criminal record or something. But because of the color of your skin, your skin…something you had no control over. God given ❤🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ chilllle anyways. ❤❤

Colour yes but also cultural differences. Some Koreans also have problems accepting light skin filippinos or Chinese who look like them. Many Asian families prefer own race for fear that a foreigner won't be a good fit in the family. I know of Indian families who got their sons to break up or divorce White women too because they didn't want any mixing. Am not justifying anything. Just explaining. It's changing now with the younger generation. However you are partly right, there will be more objections when the outsider is Black.

Well " Hold back tears, hold back tears" did not work for me. I have been a blubbering mess watching this wonderful revelation. It is unfortunate that such a profound health event triggered these truly life changing moments. I think that staring at one's own mortality can have a profound influence on behavior. I am thrilled for you all. Even if your mother in law reverts to her old habits, I feel that you have witnessed her true feelings, and that your sister in law has always wanted to embrace all of you but felt obliged to fall in line. You have just made my weekend, and maybe my week a more joyful one. So happy for you all. Grab hold of these moments, and cherish them, regardless of what happens in the future. Jon

Your video is making me cry. This is so wonderful that you've been finally able to meet the family. I'm always amazed how tragedy often opens closed doors and brings families together. What a gift that your little one (and you and your kindness) helped Ralley your mother-in-law and give her the want to live and recover. You may say, well I don't know, but it's clear to me it's true. FYI atrial fibrillation biggest risk is stroke. My husband had it and also had a stroke. I hope your mother-in-law continues to recover and that your father-in-law stay safe and healthy. ❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

You are an amazing human being! The fact that you never gave up just says a lot about your character. Your intentions were pure You never badmouthed them but was just disappointed about the situation. I hope they get to see that now. This put a lump in my throat & nearly started balling for you. I’m so happy for you & Justin. Hate really never wins & your love really prevailed! I hope this is the start of good things. Kinda going through something like this but a little different. Watching this made me realize that hate doesn’t solve hate. And you always have to be the bigger person. May God continue to bless you & your fam. Thank you for sharing & I’m so happy for you both. Such a beautiful person you are! I hope they see that.
