For the third installment of the LP Home project, we start the installation of LP Smartside Expert Finish. This is the prefinished siding offering from LP, and I hope there are a lot of tips and tricks for LP installation in this video, because that is the point of this series. In Smartside Expert finish part 1 we are starting with vertical siding which in this case is commonly called board and batten. I have never installed this particular product and was pleasantly surprised. Stay tuned and you might see us try to get this product on a future clients build!
I was paid by LP to help create installation content for them, and took the opportunity to also create my own and share it with you all. If you have any questions about the project or LP Smartside with expert finish you can drop them down in the comments or check out this link!

I read the entire Ryan's kzfaq.infoUgkxGqOCINHE0Z0E5gxzSdNi9NWGugRY5Hm2 Plans and was able to make a shed plan. Using Ryan's Shed Plans alone, the shed itself is great. Where I wish I knew more is with respect to ground preparation and foundations. Maybe that's beyond the scope of Ryan's Shed Plans.

@Natedoc808
@Natedoc808 2 жыл бұрын
Peel the T1-11 off, apply sheathing of your choice (plus house wrap if raw OSB), put sleepers on and put the board and battens on. Easiest thing to do is when you cut the sleepers for the rain screen spacing is run em on a table saw, then set your corner, make a spacer/jig that is the 16” minus half the width of the sleeper plus the 3/16” needed for the spacing so the space doesn’t grow on you like happened in this video, and then using the spacer jig like he did but you don’t have to rip down and paint the vertical panels.
