I love the look, but I’m in Florida, you could cook eggs on that siding in august, I’d think the ac wouldn’t be able to keep up with that much wall heat.

Not even a minute into the video and I'm like..."Hacks" I'm sure most people don't see it as a big deal, but someone who doesn't even care enough about their own tools to take care of them (spray painting right over the tape) says a lot about how they work. But maybe it's just me?

Too much black for me. I like the grey siding and black trim.

The boards are called and measured in improper fractions. That's why you get a 4/4 and 5/4 and others. Here is an example. 5/4 in a proper fraction form is 1 1/4, Which is the thickness a board is cut. They only measure the cut, not the planing they do afterwards. For example, for a 5/4 board, the lumber mill cuts it to 1 1/4 which is the proper fraction form of 5/4, and then they remove another quarter of width, planing it smooth. Hopefully this helps someone to understand it better.

Sorry, painting your house or business black is trendy but is just a fad. You'll hate it come summer when your building is heating up. There's a practical reason people don't do that. It's as fad-ish as people who paint their cars matte black ("I'm batman!")

Nice work and great attention to detail! Im a sider by trade but haven't done much metal/ pole barn work. It's coming into style now and im about to sell my first house with this type of siding. I do a lot of similar procedures already but ill be using your methods. Super clean, great work. Thank you.

I’m in the snow zone, and to me, it’s crazy to see roof trusses on 8’ centres. They are beefy trusses, though. Great, efficient work. Great job.

I love these roof panels. I'm in the process of getting some land and building my own barndominium in West Australia and definitely be using these panels. can they be used for the side walls too? they seem so easy to install and recon I could install these by myself. Only thing that concerns me is whether having insulation underneath will warp the panels. what do you think? by the way, you explains this really well and give good reasons Why you do it so. Awesome!!

Might be stupid question, can you let the smartside acclimatise before installing instead of opening and install straight away? Bit like timber flooring. Love these vids watching from NZ
