Personally I think FATE is absolutely delusional on so many levels! On a completely different note: I think characters should have more skin shown to be more close to the 3D era of costumes. Even in MK9 females showed their beauty and had more sex appeal like Mileena wrap skin. It's socially acceptable to have thongs and bikinis on the beach but not on a video game in 2024, doesn't make sense to me. But I have no issue with characters having more clothing like Li Mei which it makes perfect sense. But Mileena and Kitana should have 3D era skins that actually show skin and show off more sex appeal. Don't take it the wrong way, I think Kitana, Mileena and Sindel look stunning in MK1. If they add a classic swimsuit Kitana/Mileena/Sindel Skin from MK9 that shows more skin like every female on the beach, if the majority of players don't like that much skin you won't hardly see it. I'm willing to bet the small minority is the loudest and the only one's who don't want bigger TnA and less clothing. Many other fighters have far more skin and sex appeal.

The only part where I do agree in is why they keep on censoring the old klassic outfits in mk, I dont want stripper outfits like mk9 had but if we are getting klassic skins either release them how they are or just dont release any of those ones at all. Main one for me was Li Mei I like her older skin, her re design is nice but they should have just given us her Deadly Alliance look which in my opinion wouldve looked better anyway.

I don't like her new hair style and the lack of white eyes, i love her hair in MKD and MKX, it would be nice if they give her skins based on those games, she did look more egyptian in MKX and the old hair styles plus the white eyes were a cool mysterious touch, she looks too normal now in comparison, same with the Lin Kui characters in general, their clothes looks too basic and similar while in MKX Sub and Scorpion look super unique and cool, i do think Liu looks a lot better in MK1 tho, his new hairstyle, clothes and tatoos look awesome, same with his white eyes, he looks a lot more unique and badass, he looked too normal and somewhat uninspired in MK9 and MK11

I think a lot of characters could do with showing more skin but only to emphasise the outfit design. Some outfits have pretty consistent colours shoulder to toe and could do with skin gaps just to highlight the shape of the clothing. This take is insane though, just go and play DOA ffs.

The one thing I will say regarding Tanya is that I DO see the Dora Milaje from Black Panther, and there's nothing wrong with taking inspiration from a movie like that as more and more Black Male Characters are starting to sport the Killmonger twists looks in media. At the end of a day it’s a fictional video game where you punch a persons head out their butt. Back in the day no one had a problem with sexy designs but nowadays everything is just some form of “oppression” against females or a group of people. Internet mobs hold a lot of power so devs would rather just conform than do any creative or sexy design in fictional environments. It doesn’t need to make sense, everything in the world and characters does not have to make logistical sense to justify an outfit. I was really disappointed that mk1 took an even more grounded approach when it should have been more comic-esque in the design of the entire cast. Shout to sf6 for holding it down in the sexy female department but also the fact that their entire roster just has awesome fantastical designs
