I disagree with some things in this theory. The fact that X-Men Legends 2 uses the ultimate looks for the characters I think was done because they most closely resemble the looks of the X-Men uniforms from the movies. The Savage land in that game is the same as in the 616 universe, not an illusion created by Scarlet Witch like in the ultimate universe and this game uses a lot of Age of Apocalypse characters that didn't appear in the ultimate universe period. Nick Fury being black I feel is a minor continuity flub the same way that Thor in MUA1 has his ultimate look and Nick's cameo in Legends 2 is so brief that you wouldn't be that distracted by the change when you move over to MUA1. The choice to have Thor with his ultimate look is inconsistent within the game it appears in because there is a statue in Asgard that is of Thor's classic look you can use to skip a combat segment if you hit it with lighting. I disagree with the placement of UMVC3 in between MUA1 and 2 because characters like Iron Man and Captain America reference Civil War and Hulk if you happen to fight Dr Strange, references WWH. The former happens in MUA2 and the latter happens after MUA2. Dr Doom talking to himself is just something that the developers threw in there for laughs and isn't cannon. After all, if you talk to Jean Grey after you rescue her as Nightcrawler, he has no idea how he escaped the Masters of Evil. The only explanation Jean can come up with is that the Nightcrawler that the villains have captured is a clone. Does this mean that conversation is cannon? No! My explanation for why Dr Doom is in MUA3 is because of Road to Civil War. It is established in MUA2 that some comic events still happened like Titanium Man's attack on the wight house which is from the comic I am talking about and of course Civil War. In Road to Civil War, Dr Doom comes back from hel to get Thor's hammer and reclaims Latveria after Von Bardas has been killed. After he fails to get Thor's hammer, Dr Doom sits on the side lines as Civil War unfolds. He felt he had no reason to bother getting involved with the debate. The only point I agree with is Nick Fury Jr taking his father's place in 3 because MUA2 established that some comic events still happen in this universe. Speaking of which, Spider-Man is still married in the MUA universe. He does still help the pro-registration side in MUA2 but he doesn't publicly unmask because the story doesn't focus on him after Secret War. If he didn't publicly unmask, Kingpin doesn't find out his secret identity, he doesn't send a sniper after Peter's loved ones, and One More Day doesn't happen.

@Conrad Ferrus Of course, as a writer I think that making Nick Fury change his race is a *terrible* idea, but if someone told me paranoid super-spy Nick Fury decided he needed to become a black man to make his cover identity more believable I wouldn't think that it was super out of character for him... I'd just be thinking that I hope the writers know what they're doing because that's a *really* hard thing to do tactfully.

@Conrad Ferrus Honestly the best example I can give of it being done without being absolutely cringeworthy is Tropic Thunder, but that's because the world treats it for what it is. They take every opportunity to call themselves out on it, and they never pretend that Robert Downey Jr's character is *really* black. Having characters like Luke Cage or Falcon call Fury out on it, and making sure that is nothing more than a disguise for Fury and not "this is me now, accept me as a black man" would be a good start.

Nah nah. Clearly, it was Ryu, Wolverine, and Hsien-ko that stopped Galactus. Deadpool threw them a party afterwards that sort of destroyed most of the downtown area.

Honestly, I wish you guys could do a redo where you guys could actually figure out if Ultimate Alliance had a timeline, by using the lore from each of the three games’ extra content, rather than a late April fools joke.

MysteriousTomJenkins actually while Ultimate Alliance 3 does lean into the MCU the game still feels like it tries to be about Marvel in general. Especially with picks like Crystal, Elsa Bloodstone, and Thane. Even character design wise the look of the MCU only inspires some characters like Captain America while others look more like their comic book appearance such as the X-Men and Inhumans. Even it’s DLC tried to focus on other parts of Marvel Universe outside of the MCU. I feel like UA3 is less of an advertisement to the MCU than you give it credit for.

Rise of the Imperfects was hot garbage.

I like Marvel Nemesis Rise Of The Imperfects it's underrated I believe the game inspired the Injustice games that was a real dark Marvel game.

Marvel Nemesis is underrated

Rise of the Imperfects has nostalgia for me but I can see its flaws. Honestly I loved the new characters they added, especially Hazmat and Wink but I do also remember the game being kind of frustrating and I forgot some of the plot like why the main villain was doing what he was doing in the first place and even the tie in comic has me confused about that aspect. Honestly this game just needs some tweaking and it would likely be better received.

Only thing I dislike about Rise Of The Imperfects is the Marvel characters dying or being being defeated to easily when they suppose to be powerhouses but other than that I enjoyed playing the game back on the PS2 and XBOX.
