3 жыл бұрынI am totally dismantling this Maytag Centennial Washer MVWC model with a bad transmission. The washplate has frozen onto the gear shaft and the drive hub is stuck. I will use a bottle jack to try and remove the stuck transmission

All the videos i see are these models with a center agitator not a wash plate so thanks for this

The Hydraulic jack worked really well for me. I tapped a socket over the top end of the shaft with some blue painters tape. Thar gave me enough extra length to push the shaft free. The top of the shaft was all deteriorated so I ended up replacing the gearbox because there was no shaft-bearing kit availa . $250 Since the rest of the machine is like new I figure I got off cheep.
