MEDITATION TIPS TO OVERCOME BOREDOM: Have you felt bored during meditation? Everyone who meditate has encountered boredom in their practice. Sometimes, boredom pulls us away from our meditation habit. Yet, it can be a very interesting experience if we look closer and learn to transform boredom into a rich experience. What can we learn from boredom? In this weeks video, I share some meditation tips to deal with boredom.

Thank you for your kind comment! I will be back very soon. I think I'll start uploading new videos in a week or 2 max. I wanted to take time off from YT to focus on my own practice and now, I feel ready to share more.

Hello, thank you for your comment! Yes I am focusing a little more on my own meditation practice these days, not thinking too much about making videos but I may start making shirts videos as they are a little easier to make and maybe more spontaneous. Let’s see but I will come back and make content more regularly sometimes this year.

Hi Olivier thank you for your video I have not experienced boredom yet but I am pretty new to meditation so your tips will he useful to me in the future. Regarding the lazy day and learning to do nothing I am impressed by how much I look forward to sitting quiet and still for my evening meditation as I had always thought it would not be for me super active and multitasking person

I am happy to read that you are looking forward to your sitting meditation. There is at times a sense of deep ease and feeling contempt when we sit that I cannot find in anything else I do.

I sometimes feel strained while meditating and maybee the concentration and focus on the awerness of something is causing that (like the breath or sounds) altough it can be a good tool to settle in a peace. The goal of meditation is to just be and abide in your beingness then maybee the breath could become a distraction because it requires concentration and focus to maintain that awerness of the breath. What if you could just instantly tap in to that beingness and pure awerness without having to get strained by the concentration on something and then you can get the fruit of meditation, the peace and joy? Thoughts on this?

You have great awareness of your experience. You notice the straining in your practice because you set your attention with focus and concentration. Now are 2 things that come to mind reading your comment: one is learning to find the balance between alertness and relaxation. Finding a way to be concentrated and yet relaxed. A lot of it can be practiced through mindful awareness of the body. As you said very well, the heart of the practice is to tap into our relaxed awareness again and again throughout our day. It is challenging and the only way to get better is to keep practicing. That’s where mindfulness in daily life comes into play. Through our daily activities, can we go back to ourselves and relaxed again, dive into that pure awareness. I am not there yet myself, it’s a lifetime practice and so challenging with everything that goes on in our daily life. Hope this helps, good luck!
