IMHO, her free skating was not as bad as it was made out to be - it's just that Janet Lynn was so innovative, bright and effervescent that people were amazed. Nepola certainly seemed entranced. How refined and dignified the costumes were back then !

Wow, Ondrej Nepela was a real hottie, so handsome. No wonder Toller Cranston had the hots for him. This is fantastic. You can see Ulanov's error on the double toe in the short program which is why they were behind entering the free. Schuba was well...she looks heavy here compared to the 70 Worlds (on youtube) and the following Olympic season (her European Ch. free is on here), so I guess she slimmed down a bit before Sapporo.
