Yeah, I've picked up resistance training with the long-term goal of looking like the aesthetics of the Greek god statues and I do it early in the morning at 5a. It helps with me being that early since I tend to find it the hardest thing to do. Thanks for this list.

@@KoiAcademy Very short answer - i eat 75% of my TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) since I'm on a calorie deficit currently so I'll reach my body fat goal of 10-9% before I bulk and adjust my macros. For cutting it's at 40% protein, 40% carbs, & 20% fats. Roughly 80% of my foods are from non-processed sources. It's easier to take into account the thermic effect of food, generally healthier, and not accidentally overeat. =P Hope that answers the question.

75% is crazy low. Let's say 3000 kcal TDEE then you would take in only 2250. 750 kcal deficit will within days negatively impact your performance in the gym and you'll eat into your muscle mass quickly.

Cold showers changed my life! Last year I started to end my hot shower with a few cold seconds. Eventually cut the hot part out. At the time I didn't have a hot shower for a few months straight. Stepping out of my comfort zone every day pushed me to start jogging (from 1 mile runs to 5miles like 2 months later) I quit drinking alcohol and lost 25lbs in 4months, I visited a doctor for a problem I had for years and was shy to talk about. And then I signed for college and just got on the honor roll and president's list. As part of this self-improvement journey, I found you and RemNote, thanks a million for what you are doing!!!

I have to agree with the Journaling placement, I was full of ideas and thoughts but I wasn't moving forward with them, after 6 months of journaling I was able to figure out and organize and structure my thoughts so I'm walking forward instead of constantly walking in circles. tips write these every day (if you miss a day, don't stress about, start fresh the next day) -Main goal (year to 6 months) -Another Goal (6 months) -affirmations (have 3 consistent ones) -gratitude (literally anything you are grateful for) these go on the top or bottom of your page.^ these fill the rest of the blank space on your page v then journaling begins (chose whichever or do all) -Morning time (set daily goals, cleaning, gym, study, etc) + to-do list for the day -random ideas or thoughts -negative thoughts (break these down and see the positive side, pessimistic mindsets are learned and so can optimistic mindsets, (I'm talking from experience)) -end of day summary, or write about your day, any highlights? things that could've made it better?

You can only read new information about drugs, illnesses and etc. in English. You have to wait a lot to get it translated. It also effects daily life because you expand resources that you can study from. For example, i watch youtube videos in english because there are not enough resources in my language! Honestly i disagree with what you guys said about taking cold showers never becoming easy. By my experience how much hesitance you feel before entering the shower and the temperature shock that you feel drastically change on the long run, although it does take a really long time for that to happen. For instance, I used to be staring at the cold shower for like 20 seconds out of fear of the discomfort it will bring for the first few months, but now after 2 years or so i just walk right and the temperature shock i feel is definitely way lower, to the point that it isn't even close to as big as a hassle as it used to be

I think the most important part of this habit is "waking up for real", feeling more energy to do others things even in the morning, and not the whole idea of facing discomfort to build more discipline (although I'm not exactly against it either)

I would recommend, firstly pls stop procrastination and try to remember what you already understood, then take a test of the chapters, find out where you are weakest and understand that first. Slowly start understanding each chapter, and if you don't take help from various sources which are available This helped me study phy and chem a few months back.... And if exams are close, don't try using new study methods which you haven't used till now Hope this helps

I disagree with the language. There's a lot of latent effects to mastering a second or third language. Like you said opens up opportunities to the job markets however that's not the only thing it opens up to. It makes you more connected with the idea of exposing yourself to different cultures which is an intern stimulates your curiosity. Also learning another language facilitates confidence in visiting the countries that speak that language. As well as enriching your life in various ways. There's a reason why you see Europeans being sharper than Americans on average even as they age is due to their multilingualism that they had to pick up at an early age.

Googling on A tier, but languages on B tier, must disagree with that. You're so much more complete in so many different ways through language learning - communicating verbally with others, but also have access to different perspectives of the world. Then talk about perceived value, which you mentioned for writing. That is even more applicable to languages.

Knowing foreign languages (as much as possible) is must have when you are from country with very mediocre level of scientific and technological development and there is basically no interesting/important/innovational information available in your language. Not even taking to account education opportunities that different languages give you in that case. So for most people in the world this is S tier

Study tip! Hey everyone. Try playing lofi music while studying (or reading, working etc). I may be bias but lofi has been shown to trigger the cerebrum and help the brain focus. It may not help everyone, but it definitely does help a lot of people 🙂

Honestly, I don't think taking cold showers is worth it. Yeah it has health benefits, but so do many other things. It's better to just focus on other things. Taking a cold shower shouldn't feel like an accomplishment, it's a sorry excuse of an action tbh and can make you feel like you did something worthwhile, when really, you just took a cold shower. Warm showers are nice, it's not a crime to enjoy something.
