Good morning boys, Thanks for this episode! I am obese and have picked up lifting weights since last year. Sal’s interview at High Intensity Health was the aha moment! I tried intermittent fasting, lost tons of weight, and as soon as I stopped, slam! The weight came all back. 1 year after having working out, I feel strong, my blood pressure is down, my weight not so much….yet! But I feel good hitting the gym days a week ! I noticed that on a high protein diet , I have been sleeping worse …. And feels like this low on sodium could be just the reason! My sodium intake daily has been under 2g daily ..damnit! I am gonna add some more sodium in my diet and see if my sleep improves! Thanks Sal, Adam, Justin and Doug! You guys are legend! PS: listening to your show while I get my cardio in is my favourite !

Man...I just switched to a whole foods diet a couple months ago when I started my TRT and I could not sleep well for the life of me. I been wondering for weeks why my sleep had gone to shit since everything else was in line but now it makes sense. Idk which one of you is hiding in my room or listening on my conversations but I do appreciate whoever is deciding to make videos that relate exactly to what's currently happening to me. Thanks guys, keep em coming

I love the way you all talk about your childhood and the empathy for your parents. I’m the oldest of 7, Mom 16 Dad 20, my siblings sometimes complain about different things from growing up and I’ve tried so hard to convey that they were just kids trying to figure it out. Parents are just humans, they don’t get donned with parental superpowers just because they make some kids. ❤

Hey you guys! I want to say thank you for providing such interesting and informative podcast. I’m currently a college student and I’m questioning a lot of things. I feel stressed, sad, anxious, but also free?!? Im also feeling stressed because of social and dating life. This transition in my life is really hard but I know it’s for the better and I know these are stages that I have to go through to develop my character. The podcast has really helped me relax and think about other things. It’s actually helped me develop different points of views on situations I’m experiencing with college, fitness, relationships . I really appreciate everything y’all do. Thank you guys for going beyond just fitness because there are things y’all talk about that I didn’t think I needed to hear. You guys brighten up my day and it’s something I really needed. Thank you :)

Love this podcast! I watch these videos every day! I’ve been on a really balanced diet for over a year now, mostly Whole Foods, 1g protein per lb of body weight, and a healthy dose of fats and carbs. At the same time as making that switch I also became much more consistent at drinking a lot more water every day. I just assumed my need to use the bathroom twice a night was due to the extra water intake, and I just took it as a necessary evil that came with making better choices. I’m going to try intentionally upping my sodium intake over the next couple of weeks and see if that changes things.

How do kids learn what they do? My granddaughter of less than 18 months saw my weights and bench in the garage. She tried picking up some of the plates and got hold of a 2 1/2 pounder. What blew my mind was she carried it to the bench and put it down. She tried to climb on the bench, and I helped her. She then lies on her back and presses the plate. I'm pretty sure she never saw me do it or her dad.

Magnesium deficiency is also common with very low carbs and also affects sleep (and causes terrible calf cramps). Magnesium glycinate in the evening works wonders. The chelation with glycine increases bioavailability, it doesn’t have the side effects that many other magnesiums do, and the glycine also adds to the relaxing effect on top of the magnesium’s. LMNT a couple times a day and magnesium glycinate an hour before bed is a killer combo!
