This is great food for thought . When I first had ocd I wanted a tv in my room to take my mind off worries and I couldn’t even put one in that worked because of Ariel . Now I can flip onto tube , listen to you and have the correct books delivered next day by Amazon . Definitely appreciate this . Thank you

9:48 I been to the Philippines four times. Well, it seems to be a pragmatic and resilient people not too much into theories and abstract concepts. Anyway, it’s a beautiful country with its pros and cons. I was surprised that you mention that country because I’m planning to become an expat there.

Thanks Rob for this powerful video! Every time I receive these insights I think that if faced with dignity and strength OCD can become a paradoxical resource. I don't want to be misunderstood, I would have gladly done without it. But it's there, that's how I work and this is my workbench. One hammer blow at a time. Will I be able to live up to my pain, to quote Viktor Frankl? It's true that those who don't have an OCD mind can hardly understand the great intensity of the discomfort and how this catapults you into a parallel reality, like the upside down in Stranger Things. We really need this kind of energy to wake up to a life "despite of", and riding the storm.

Thank you, Rob. Incredible video 🎉. Sensorimotor Breathing and heart, for a long time now for me, Rob. I am not on the best sleeping schedule, and I know that directly affects willpower. Combination of body tension will Sensorimotor is really draining.

@aguywhohikes1271 Nick, one of the most difficult and convincing things is that it feels as if I may suddenly stop breathing just from worries and thinking of it. Currently I am experiencing this plus I am hungry and I am noticing whenever I am hungry and don't sleep well, it's like whole day these feelings and thoughts attach and I actually feel what if I forget or overbreathe to the point of my heart giving up. Also, when I am super tired, I close my eyes for a minute, then often a sudden rush of fear like a big gasp of air hits me. Is this truly ALL the mind and nervous system doing this because it still makes me fight for my life, and the thought of releasing the stomach tension alone tends to feel so frightening real. Is the issue for me that part of me doesn't trust the breath that's going to come in on its own?

@@mirzafatic1663I can assure you this is anxiety - because it consumed me too. Have you had moments where your mind is fully occupied and you temporarily forget the symptoms? Your mind can't produce fear and be intellectually/creatively engaged at the same time.
