As a former stay at home mom of 3 and now grandmother of 3 (one soon to be high school) I can tell you this the best return on any investment will be the time you invest with your spouse and kids . My husband worked hard ,has a very successful business made lots and we spent lots. Time speeds up it seems as you get older . You can never get back that time when they are little . When I had my first three children as a young mom I stated home with them and our 4th daughter too as a stay st home mom. I loved beating "the system" slow pace life focus on loving Jesus and eachvother. Living a simple life. Now as a grandma at 63 I have no regrets looking back on those happy beautiful years

Contentment with Godliness is great gain. Yes. Good reminder. Also: The love of money is the root of all evil. May we never think we aren't vulnerable to this. May you continue to grow in Him and influence whomever He desires you to influence - whether that be mostly your kids, thousands on the internet, your next door neighbors, or a combination of those groups. Congrats on your newest "Life Balance" decision! Thanks for being a great example as a person, christian, husband and dad. For the sake of contrast, the cult I was in as a young person taught that college was a "sin" and would corrupt and deceive you. They also taught that working more than 40 hours a week was a sin because any more than that meant you WEREN'T doing MT 6:33-34. So, I guess this was the opposite extreme of "hustle culture"! You found the balance and escaped both extremes. 🎉😊

This is so good and I am enjoying it immensely. It really seems to parallel where my husband and I are after being business owners for the last seven years, trying to build a family, and just feeling really burnt out. It’s a blessing to hear other people who can relate to that, share some of their thoughts and processing!

Our best years were the years of simplicity. Rich. Rich. Rich. Materialism changed everything and brought ‘not good’ results. Simplicity is good❤

Essentially, there is a time and season for everything. You had your season of hustle and building something for your family - now its time to rest and enjoy the fruit of your labor. Everything is subjective to our own personal experience.

God first. Family second. Ministry third. Don't sacrifice your family, well said.

Interesting how we humans go from one phase to another, again and again confronted with our flaws, ego, whatever, but also the good things... your path, as far as I know it from the videos a little bit: full time ministry, like even more than full time, wanting to change the world through prayer etc., then the radical shift to hard work "with your hands", and now becoming aware of the downfalls of hustle culture... not so easy to find the right balance and the way of God... but it's a learning, I guess that's OK, it's how this life is, and cuddos for how you take that on and share honestly...

My husband and I made the decision to move our family of seven from Missouri to Colorado to care for his parents. It was a huge transition, but God has graced us. His father left us after only 4 weeks. In Sept family of six will be moving in as well! We will have a household of 14 for 9ish months. I know that we will look back and understand what God was teaching us through this season. And, it will prepare us for the new home that He has for our nucleur family, whereever that is! ❤ 😅

The idea is connecting to God through nature by creating a small homestead or kin's domain that is filled with love and beauty where marriages can be a truly divine expression and children can grow up in love and security.
