Agar 150-160 metre diameter waale wheel mein sirf 24 spokes honge to ek ek spoke ka weight kitna zyada hoga? Your idea is good, but it is not feasible as per civil engineering. That's why dozens of cable are used in such massive ferris wheels instead of solid spokes. Ain Dubai hai 192 cables

I strongly feel like it should be in the eastern side rather than western because, 1. There are a lot of touristy places already in western side 2. If its kept on the western side (and esp the southern town side area) the amount of people going towards that side will increase thereby increase the traffic issues 3. Eastern side has been neglected for a long time if landmarks like these are made on the eastern side, it’ll develop the nearby areas too, thereby ensuring equal development of the city and strain from the western side will be lessened.

Banana to padega. Mere ko to lagta hai , off marine drive hona chahiye. Ye sabse iconic location hogi mumbai me. Yaha se fort, nariman pt etc bhi dikhega. Shivaji memorial bhi dikhega. Delhi me bhi banana chahiye, kartavya path ki line me yamuna bank par. Ye bhi superhit banega.

Dubai doesn't attract tourists because of 'Ain Dubai'. It is 'Ain Dubai' that attracts tourists because of Dubai. Aur ye Dubai wali superpower abhi Mumbai ke paas nahi hai. This is why I think it is too early to invest in such massive landmarks, especially in a city Mumbai which is not the most touristy city in India. The idea of Mumbai eye is wonderful, but not as a standalone project. It should be a small element integrated into a larger project, such as the eastern waterfront as originally proposed. The immediate need of Mumbai for it to become attractive to tourists is to improve its urban infrastructure, get rid of slums as soon as possible and establish more and more green, open spaces for public. So, in my view, the govt and local authorities should put Mumbai-Eye aside for a while and try everything possible to go ahead with Eastern waterfront development. It is a site of almost 600 hectares. Once it is fully developed it would be like an entire new town. That would change the face and fate of Mumbai forever! Then landmarks like Mumbai-Eye could become icing on the cake.

Dear PT Team, I always enjoy watching your videos. It is very informative and gives a crisp overview of the infrastructure developments happening in India, which is usually never covered by the media. However, I wanted to point out one thing here with regards to Ain Dubai (or Dubai Eye). This attraction was closed for almost a year due to maintenance issues even after its grand opening. In COVID time, it was also closed, and hence, we're looking at almost 2 years of closure. It is only since last year it opened up gradually. The last I've heard is that the merchandise sale is also not up to the mark. The reason I am pointing it out is because a) it was used as an example of sales generated, which is still untrue as it actually began functioning properly only last year b) The structure was made only to create world record. Is that still going to be an attractive landmark? I doubt that c) India can do a better job if it does not focus on creating a world record but creating such an attractive venue alongside the Mumbai Eye Project that it would become a hub for dining; culture; arts and entertainment. Dubai Eye was created on reclaimed land while Mumbai can still do at available land parcel. We can wait and see how this plan pans out. d) I stay in Dubai so I know what was shared was slightly incorrect. Keep up the wonderful work!

#askpt 1.i am speaking with context of mumbai - In Mumbai we have many pagdi system buildings , want to understand complete law which helps tenants raise there concern and every tenant can have its own home redeveloped. 2.near railway trains tracks there are many legal buildings and structures which are legal and shaking due to high speed rail which may lead to collapse of building, buildings are in dilapidated condition,help us know how can one raise the concern and avail accommodation. 3.context is if building is dilapidated the building will be destroyed but what about people living inside the building,is there any protection available for them?? 4.what happens to buildings which when go old by 99 years ,like currently small buildings are destroyed and new are made ,which helps builder make money ,bt what about buildings which are already more than 22floors and become dilapidated. What happens in developed nation?? 5.nead complete knowledge of pagdi system, request to help us with series of videos and medium over which people can discuss the queries .

चलो मुम्बई फेरिस व्हील के बनने से भारत मे सुपरहीरो लोगों को लटकने झूलने, में मदद तो मिलेगी। साथ ही सुपर विलन लोगो को भी हेरोइन, मासूम बच्चों इत्यादि को लटकाने को जगह मिल पाएगी। इस प्रकार की चीज़ों के अभाव के कारण से कोई देसी सुपरहीरो फ़िल्म भारत में नहीं बन रही थी।

This is necessary to make a tourism oriented area in Mumbai to promote growth , it will generate revenue from that and companies, real estate, builders & businesses will see it as right place to setup there. See in Singapore the bay Area was developed with the goal of making it an iconic area, then skyscrapers built around it.

People don't come to see the eye. They come because of the city. BMC should focus on restoring all the heritage buildings to world scale standard , create large urban spaces and develop an unique characteristic to the city. Currently, it's an unplanned growth of concrete structures. There is no characteristic to the city.

No need for a big ferris wheel right now. Instead, focus on redeveloping slums, making better roads and better pedestrian facilities and start the Eastern Waterfront Project instead.

India can't grow and compete cities like London or Dubai. Its nearly impossible for us because of corruption of government and politics India takes 30-40% taxes and returns are not even 10%. Our hard-earned money goes to pocket of government. No drainage roads, No proper electricity, No proper security any one can rob you or threaten you, No proper police action, No proper government schools and hospitals, no proper transportation, where our money goes? UAE is far better even there is no income taxes and countries like UK, France there are taxes but they return in the form of better education, better roads, security and everything. That's why rich peoples settled to these countries and left India. Shame on my corrupt government.
