I tried but very sticky in my fan. Even I add flour and egg but I do like the taste

Awesome! Can I do that with mung bean powder? How do I replace the portion?
@Foodotomic2 жыл бұрын
I have never tried it with the mung bean powder, honestly not sure about that
@richardwallace63132 жыл бұрын
@@Foodotomic very unlikely to work, but you can do it with split mung beans (mung dal)

Hello how much water is needed please ? thank you very much !
@Foodotomic Жыл бұрын
You can add the water as per the consistency you need in the crepe, you can make it thick or thin as per your choice. If you are making it thick you can also add veggies on top of it and I would recommend doing both.

Great as I am salt, oil and sugar free for my type 2 diabetes! Do you cold these mung beans first? I though you had to cook all beans>
@Foodotomic2 жыл бұрын
For this particular recipe, we soak them and after grinding we cook them directly on the pan. You can reduce the amount of salt in the recipe too. Let me. know if you have further questions

basically, this is pesarattu but made chunkier and without South Indian chutneys. the second version is akin to a mung bean uttapam.
@Foodotomic2 жыл бұрын
Yup this is pesarattu and I like to serve it with the South Indian chutneys. I like it both ways, chunkier and finely churned too :)
@richardwallace63132 жыл бұрын
@@Foodotomic when we do not have any chutney made and do not feel like making any, I eat pesarattu with avakaya and maybe some dosa filling or curd on the side. but then we eat avakaya with pretty much everything because it is the all-purpose Telugu pickle.
@Foodotomic2 жыл бұрын
@@richardwallace6313 That is good to know, I eat pesarattu with pickle all the time
@richardwallace63132 жыл бұрын
@@Foodotomic I bet lots of people do; pickle is more likely to be on hand than is chutney given that it lasts longer. and of course there also is thokku, a chutney-pickle hybrid.

I have tried this with lentils & chickpeas, I cannot make them " stay together" & end up making bread rolls, also very yummie but not what I wanted😊
