To those of us who are addicted to harmonic movement & substitute chords, this piece just gets better with repeated listenings.

This musical group from Sacramento has taken Kurt Ellings version and morphed it into a fabric of sheer and pure harmony! So magic I can listen to it again and again. Perfection for the ears and soul.

The Sacramento State Jazz Singers rendition of My foolish heart/Moth is just mind blowingly perfect and the best I have ever heard.
@marcrekart90892 ай бұрын
Probably the best vocal rendition of My foolish Heart that I have ever heard, perfect blend, nice jazz spreads salt and peppered throughout the arrangement. I might have ended with a Major 6/9/#11 chord instead of the octave unison but that is just a personal preference. Extremely well done.

In all my years of listening to KZfaq, this was the first clip that inspired me to search the Internet for the source (Kerry Marsh) and express how much the music moved me. The reason I took a chance on it is that, as much as I like Kurt Elling, I wasn't especially crazy about his rendition, and I'm grateful to have found the definitive version. So are the many people I've shared this with. I come back to it again and again.

Wow, how fabulous was that. And the quality of the recording is so good. Sounds like the Singers Unlimited quality of sound. Partly produced I believe by double recording. But the clarity and echo in the sound is outstanding. Kery Marsh, you are exceptional.

I love this! I keep coming back to it again and again. These kids are probably gone their separate ways by now and have made lives for themselves apart from making beautiful music together, but I'm sure they'll cherish this achievement. Kerry Marsh deserves much credit for making possible such a classic performance.

Absolutely great. I too could listen to this forever. In fact I walked around with this piece bouncing around in my head for an entire day and went to bed still hearing the harmonics! Would like to find more of the same. Idea of North, The Real Group and Manhattan Transfer are similar but the 'jazziness' of this piece is just so sweet.
