You are literally the reason why I purchased mine. Over the years I watched you use this tool so much on a variety of projects. In fact, that was one of the first tools I purchased before I got in renovating homes. This tool needed a dedicated video for sure.

I've owned one for years as a full time handyman. I epoxied a NeoD magnet in the middle. Meaning, that I can also use it as a "cat's claw" to reach, find, and clean up, dropped metal fasteners, screws, nuts, etc. Also sharpen one side so it is more like a HD knife blade edge. The other side has inch markings for fast measurements. Almost every one of my tools has been improved/modified in some way. I never settle for how tools come from the store.

I've had one since the 80s and use and abuse it and haven't damaged it yet...they are a great universal tool. I haven't seen them here in the lower 48 or I just haven't been looking for them do to having my old one that is working just fine for the amount of construction work I do.

I have been using those for years , for many the same reasons . Mine though are always razor sharp . Pulling exterior trim for example, being so sharp , I can cut the caulking or paint , then slip the bar right in with little to no damage. Then switch to bigger pry if needed . They are a very very handy tool. Even found a mini one the other day, or as handy but has its place. 👍

I bought mine from home depot in the U.S. they sell a blue one(dasco brand I believe) that you find by the hand tools, and a black one you will find in the painter's section. The blue one has a large bevel on the long end that can be frustrating unless you sand/grind it down to be sharper. The black one is nice and thin already. So, there are differences to look out for. Thanks for your videos Shannon!

I bought mine thanks to you as well. And when my carpenter comes around for different things, he always has his. But when his employee was off with his last month and we needed it, I had it ready :D Kapow! It's right by my oven where my essential tools are. Works for all sorts of tasks even if you aren't doing renos or big projects. Even opening really glued on boxes will be worth buying for!

I've used mine as a door stop. I've recovered miles of hardwood flooring with it. I may still have all my finger tips because of it. It's the first tool in when I'm prying up something heavy to get that first bite. I've even used a 3 inch one. You don't know you need it until you do.

Angle grinder is my favorite. It's just so powerful and can solve so many problems. Usually when I feel stuck on a project, I remember I have an angle grinder and all is saved. I have to agree a pry bar is pretty great too. I used one extensively while replacing baseboards. Easily the best tool for removing them. Then I had to scrape the glue that the previous guy used (ugh).
