MY MOTO TOURING CAMERA KIT MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN THE MOST SIMPLE!! I come from a background of photography, for the last 12 years working as a wedding photographer until the pandemic hit and I got back onto the tools as an electrician. Choosing minimal kit is such a hard thing to do! I did manage to get it pretty simple, but it could have been even simpler.
In this video I go through the kit I had with me on the way down to Turkey and way back covering all the whats whys and hows.
I did have the Insta 360 on the way back which deserves it's own review.
I've tried to be concise and explain why I took what I took, what worked and what didn't.

Wind is your worst enemy regarding the microphone. It overloads the capsule and that’s it. There are some things you can try that might help but you need to have patience. Bumblebees or rycote have some potential solutions.

You're welcome mate. There's so much gear to choose from! Truth is a whole lot can be done with a phone, wouldn't mind trying that as a challenge, just a phone and nothing else.

The Fujifilm XS10 and XS20 is supposed to be pretty good video cameras, with the XS20 having a flip out screen. I’ve been tempted to get myself one of those.

That's probably a better option. For my clogging stuff I do have a monitor that I attach to the hotshoe. The xt3 works really well for that. Flip out screen would be a must for the best trip though.

Love the Pocket 3, such a fab product! Just bought the DJI mic 2 to add to it as I didn’t buy with it. I love DJI as use the Action 4’s and just replaced the DJI Mini 2 I crashed into a lake with the Mini 4 pro 👍 fab video

You crashed into a lake? Flip, that sounds dramatic hope you and the bike were ok? Just purchased the mic 2 as well, looks like a brilliant bit of kit. The pocket 3 is quite amazing, went above my expectations by a long way. Looking forward to using it more.

Haha not crashed the bike in a lake only the drone 😂 although I did crash the bike same day. I’m glad the Mini 4 drone has 360 degree sensors perhaps I won’t crash now. This is my 4th drone 😂

Good idea splitting up this from your last video... as you thought, this was not much of a topic, to either me nor probably several others, to get very excited about. I did however watch the vid, with one eye on the Laptop, while doing the midday hand dish wash-up, plus give it a like after. So sorry for being a bit hypocritical this time round, but filming is not my thing, and that's the reason that all my travels are saved in my head and not on film!

@@thebristolthunderbird but I have since looked up the Ozmo 1 on the secondhand sites here, but only found the 3 for big money..., so it might just of served it's use, looking with just the one eye!!

I'd buy an Osmo Pocket rather than an Insta 360 X3, but I'm waiting on long-term reviews of the Pocket 3 to see how robust the flip screen proves to be. Given the all-round versatility and robustness of action cams, though, I recently supplemented my Hero 10 with an Osmo Action 4 and am very impressed with it. Really looking forward to your review of the Wingman Goose, particularly since you have actually carried all 10kgs of it on the back of your bike across Europe twice.

I guess the only weak point with the Osmo pockets is also its strong point, the physical gimbal. It would only take one from to break it to be honest, so it's a piece of kit that needs to be looked after more than an action cam. The Osmo pocket 3 has the large sensor which makes it as good as many larger video cameras, that is the selling point for many, definitely for me as I like the look of the footage. For anything "action" the gopro's and the action cams are far more suited. The insta 360 X3 is good for what it does, but I find it's niche quality isn't something I have much use for. I'll give it a few more chances before deciding if I keep it or sell it on.
