My favorite part about this video is how honest you are about your morning routine, whether it be how long it takes to get a tangled hair tie out of your curls or how you gave up on trying to delay drinking coffee. It reminds me why your videos resonate so much with me in lieu of all the noise on the internet

I thrive on morning routine, thanks for sharing yours with us Immy. Here’s a little thing that has really helped me to enjoy my mornings… I find that in the morning I move slowly through my mobility and meditation, but as the moments tick away during my before-work time I tend to start rushing and I am not present. I start focusing on what the day will look like and how I can accomplish it all with efficiency. I recently read a passage that said something like this: Excellence is in the next five minutes… Forget the long-term. Make the next five minutes rock! This, for me, has been a total game changer... my mornings are much more relaxed, and most importantly, I am present. When I repeat this passage in my head, I truly do believe that I am rocking it throughout the day… 5 minutes at a time. Your Vlogmas videos add pure pleasure and enrichment to my day, Immy. Thank-you so much for all your time, effort, and dedication. 💦🌎Ⓜary💕

I have to write because recently I’ve subscribed to your channel and have been binge-watching. My husband of almost thirty years introduced me just last month to the zero-waste lifestyle. We’ve both been ignorant for a long time and are eager to change. You inspire me with the beauty of simplicity. Your home and you and even your exercise outdoors is graceful. I am seventy years old taking makeup tips from you. I got Axiology balmies for all my precious ladies at Christmas! We are sharing this new lifestyle with our family and your videos from time to time carry the message. Now, about your hair, have you tried a bit of argon or other natural oil (housed in dark glass)? A couple to four drops warmed between your hands and raked through your hair focusing on your ends is the technique! I love your hair. Of course mine is straight. My daughter’s is straight. My granddaughter’s is straight. Sigh. On a whole different note I wonder what books my husband and I should read and share? He’s a scientist and can follow at a much higher level than I. Maybe you already have a video about books? Thank you so much for your videos, Sharon ❤

I usually take off my makeup when I brush my teeth. Before I brush my teeth, I put the cold cream on (because apparently I'm a 70 year old lady and not in my mid-40's as my driver's license tells me) let it sit while I brush my teeth, then wash it off either at the sink or in the shower.

As someone who lives in a dry, cold climate I recommend Neroli moisturizer the refill shop in our city carries many types and it isn't heavily scented. They also sell rose water, which I spritz on my face when feeling dry. My favorite lip balm is from lush and comes in a recyclable tin.

As a tip for the wild deodorant- put it on as soon as you’re out the shower and have dried yourself. Then do your moisturising and teeth etc routine. That gives it time to dry and then avoids the stains on your clothes! I’ve never had stains or yellowing doing it this way

Y'all should look into a humidifier. Having a higher humidity in your living space will also bring down your heating bill. Hi, if your concerned about coffee or what to cut back a bit you can buy dandelion coffee, essentially it’s just roasted dandelion root, it’s got a roasty coffee flavour without the caffeine! And I’m pretty sure it’s pretty healthful too, probably be able to buy it at a health food store, if not I know you can make it yourself if your up for foraging the roots and drying them 😅 Might be something worth trying.. hope this helps 🌱

The struggle is reeeeal for curly hair! Mine is long and curly and fairly thick (it used to be so much thicker before having kids) I live in Utah so it’s dry and cold here as well. I wash my hair in the evening and go to bed with it damp. In the morning it’s curly and soft. Occasionally it’s a tad damp if I went to bed with it too wet but if I wash it within a few hours of bed I wake up with it dry. I use a hair dryer maybe once or twice a month if I wash my hair earlier in the day and plan to straighten it but it dries out my hair even more than it already is so I avoid it. Try washing it later in the day and do the drying time at night

I have an odd reason for writing up my daily schedule. My mind (maybe adult ADD) starts me off on one task and then I end up starting many, never finishing anything. I write my schedule and tell myself I can ONLY do what is on my list. It helps keep me focused so I complete projects. I wanted to recommend two books: Entangled Lives The Invention of Nature I loved them and think you might like them. ✌️

I am from the high desert of New Mexico. It is critical to apply an occlusive to your skin immediately after showering or washing your hands. One of the best things for lips is something extremely moisturizing under something waxy. I grew up using chapstick over carmex. Now I use either Hurraw or Sun Bum over the e.l.f. calm balm or e.l.f. face oil as these are vegan and cruelty free. Good luck! I loved the majestic beauty of the high desert, but the dry air is definitely something that catches people off guard. Drink lots of water!

Conditioner bars are definitely a challenge. I've tried a few (Lush, Jack59, etc.), and found a lot of them to be a bit waxy and heavy for my wavy/curly hair. layer the atmosphere protection cream with the hyaluronic acid! i love that combo. it’s so hard to find sustainable products for curly hair. even going the more “natural” route is difficult because so many of the oils are not sustainable and if they are, they’re not affordable as hair care. i have been dry detangling and styling according to a few of Manes By Mel’s methods. i do use Verb’s products for curly hair and a few Aveda products. my hair is extremely thick, curly, and long. so it’s really hard to find a sustainable routine.

Do you refresh your curls during the week? Using a water bottle with conditioner in it helps refresh the curls and then you can air dry or diffuse and they look fresh like you washed them.
