Go Here to Download Your Book - www.myboxingcoach.com - Being a supreme defensive boxer, a ghost boxer, should be high on anyone's wish list. In this boxing training video we go through 3 boxing drills to help you seriously upgrade your defensive capabilities.
There are 3 basic ways to improve your boxing defensive capability. You can use blocks, body moves and footwork. However, once you combine these skills the options are almost limitless. Our 3 Ghost boxing drills will combine footwork and body moves.
The boxing drills that we build here are:
1. Slip and roll with a side step
2. Duck with a side step
3. Slip and move in and out.
These ghost boxing drills are all about combining skills and identifying the common mechanics of skills to help you put them together in a controlled manner.
Enjoy these ghost boxing drills :-)

I have looked at "circle walking" as a substitute to leaps and shuffles for more fluid and dynamic movement to create angles and escape without traveling super far and then incorporate hooks in the spinning so I have a chance to deflect straight punches being launched at me.

I was in a street fight once and this dude Swung at me and I slipped and he swung again right after and I went right into a Roll Just a Nice Slip N Roll and I am telling you, that Alone without me throwing One Punch Took the will to fight out of him. I mean the look on his and the people there Faces was Priceless. I would say a Good 60% maybe even more of the Tough guys on the street might have a Hard Sucker Punch or haymaker in them but they have no idea of how to really fight and they get away with a lot because of being Athletic or by Sucker punching or Just Swinging Wildly and Getting Lucky but when they Find themselves up against someone they as usual underestimated and something as simple as a well Trained Slip N Roll Shocks the Hell out of them they look for ANY excuse for a way out and people who know nothing think it was an AMAZING move or something because they are so used to seeing wild Flaying and then someone falling so they think it is like you are a pro or something when I just Did BASIC Head Movement and said Come on keep em coming and he goes ah your not worth it and I was not the aggressor so I let him walk away because I ABSOLUTELY HATE Confrontation to the point where yes he swung at me but I could clearly tell that I was the better fighter just from that and he wanted none of it after that. So that is how one of the Very FEW Street fights I had ended without me throwing a Single Puch Just showed actual Skill.

I have scoliosis and what he says is true. Good slipping, ducking, and rolling shouldn't affect your back very much at all. It's all in the legs essentially. Your back may come into play with ducking and tucking your chin to extreme degrees (if and when necessary to roll some hooks), otherwise let your legs thrive.

Could you make a video on Ricardo Lopez and his amazing jab? Also maybe on the new way of combos from the old ways of mike Tyson? A gym I spar at tells me throwing a 2 and moving to south pas to slip on my right side, is bad. However all there boxers I caught with this and end back up in Orthodox and have a better positioning. I start south paw and combo into orthodox and it seems like coaches dislike going to south paw but it steps me up in a great position to start off my rhythm and throw there's off
@myboxingcoach
@myboxingcoach 2 жыл бұрын
That's a great suggestion on Lopez, definitely on my list. Different coaches have different ways. I suppose for me it's about explaining risk. If you try things and they work well then build it into your techniques. There will be risk, but there's risk in everything we do isn't there.
