Eh, most of the good news I hear about them is that they replace tires when they have catastrophic problems. The bad news is that they seem to have more catastrophic problems than other tires in the same market.

Cheesy salesman and even cheesier music but,...I gotta say, Ive had nothing but a really good experience with these tires. Have run The Claw on 2 trucks, both lifted. snow, heat, highway, off road (trail, sand, etc...), I really do beat on them. Zero issues whatsoever. 33/12.5R18s. Started at 19/32's new, have over 25k miles on them over 2 yrs. measured them 2 days ago and they still retain 10/32's. even wear all around. I run them at 50-55psi on road, 18-20 off. Rotate every 3k miles. I can run them at 80-85 on the highway and they track as straight as an arrow. Yes, they are a little finicky regarding balancing. The worst of the set took 8.25oz but after that, no issues. In my experience, if your suspension is tight, alignment is right, light tweaks are all thats needed to have these tires outlast the 40k mile warranty. I will be buying a set of 35's next. I will be the first to comment if my experience is negative as I see some say. But as of now, they have superseded my expectations. I am not a paid endorser. This is just my real first time experience with Treadwright. Hope it will continue.

I just purchased a set of claw II 35x12.5r20 bout to make a 620 mile drive from northern NJ to tail end of South Carolina with a 2500 ram mega cab . I will not do over 65 with all the bad reviews regarding blow outs etc , but I’m ganna take the chance on these tires bc it’s mixed reviews. Been at this for 6 hours and it’s 50/50 right now good vs bad. We will see the truth shortly, but they’re worth trying

I have the Wardens on my pickup. I really wish I could like them because I LOVE the BFG All Terrain tread at half the price. But the things are too wobbly at highway speeds and despite having them balanced numerous times, won't go away. So I think I'm gonna replace them with Falkens and then put them on my old hunting truck since it doesn't get driven much and rarely if ever sees highway.

I have nothing bad to say about treadwright. I ordered a set of the claws for my wrangler and theyre still going strong after 24k miles on them. Still 15/32 tread depth with the kedge grip. These have seen snow, rocks, mud, climbed onto a car a lil, pushed a dead 78 ford 250 and ofc hit some really nasty potholes and not have a problem. I can easily do 80+ mph with these and no vibration. Id certainly buy another set. Worth a try. Better then spending big $ on bfg that woukd barely make 15-20k miles.

I have contacted Treadwright multiple times just to have them tell me that despite purchasing the warranty they still can't help me.

In the same terrain my son's jeep walks right through mine will take multiple attempts. To get through or up loose terrain. We both have rear lockers and it has been amazing to see how much better his treadwright tires have been.

I ended up going with Claw 2s. I like them but I don't think I'll get them again. They do last really well like you said. I've had mine on for about 30,000mi now and they look great. They do shake like crazy though and they never really balance no matter who I take them to. I've tried to rotate them every other oil change as well to see if that helps, it doesn't. They're cheap and tough, but they're really heavy and unbalanced. So gas mileage took a hit of a couple mpg and I've heard from some people that the shaking and rattling can wear out joints and links fast.

I just bought my first ones and I'm pretty a excited about it! I bought two warden 265/70/17 tires for my 2004 Dodge ram 1500 rwd. I'm running falken on it now and I've been pleased with them but they came on the truck and were a bit dry rotted which is why I'm replacing them. I noticed yesterday that my driver side tire has some cupping!! Pretty serious!!! I've been looking into this all day long and the suggestions vary as to why this happens. I personally believe my alignment is just a bit off. My passenger side is slightly to the right I would say .6" more than the driver and it may be more to the right than that! But not too bad since it's only one tire not both and I inspected my suspension and everything looks okay but my ball joints are a bit flat and didn't come with grease fittings!!! Hate that because it just wastes buying new control arms and they seem to offer nothing but this one shot lower control arm for this truck! What a rip off! The option to inject these ball joints with grease is an option and it comes too late for me because mine are cracking now!!! Yikes! Still look new but..yep..wearing out! So, I gotta get everything checked out before I put on the treadwright tires and I plan on putting the first two on the back and the second two on the front. My two rear are in great condition now and I only plan on driving on them about a month so no big deal. It will also give me time to check out the front suspension and make sure this cupping issue is completely taken care of before I start with the new tires. Really trying to find a solution to these ball factory ball joint issues! 4x4 shop wants $250 just to pop them out!!! Ouch!! Stop that!! Haha! I figured they would do it for free if I stopped by but...no such luck and so much suck!!! I have an extra pair I'm experimenting with grinding and may be trying the press option again but that didn't work last time and they aren't on the truck so it can be hard to use the clamp press. Anyways, I got a few issues but it's because I really care about this truck running smoothly and protecting these tires and preventing any wear on them that isn't standard. So yeah...I can't wait to even see these tires! They look chunky and bulky and that's what I'm looking for!! Some people say it's too aggressive for a standard truck and suspension but I wanted to get a good tire with lots of aggressive tread and that looked great and had great reviews and Treadwright definitely had all that and more! Can't wait to see them!
@lancelove9700
@lancelove9700 4 жыл бұрын
So I'm about a month into my treadwright warden all terrains and I really like the tire alot. It's taller than my other falken tires which I now know they were TERRIBLE tires!!! They seemed nice but they've been scaled down now compared to the treadwright tires. So these tires are great off road. I went to the dump yesterday and they are fantastic on the dump yard ground!!! Great grip on the loose soft soil and trash and really gave me a great responsive grip. I like these on the street too. The road is really varied where I live and they respond fantastically to bumps and pits and holes. The 10 ply is alot stronger and doesn't bounce at road faults like my other tires. It also saves alot of wear on my suspension as they fill up the wheel wells and really hulk over the suspension range with alot more tire and tread and a really muscular stance in the alignment. The tread has a really strong side wall turn out and it's just so much nicer to see a straight edge standing instead of a soft curve on the wheel. These wheels are really great looking and my only find is that the outer remolded layer of tread discolors a bit. It seems to turn an amber brown color. I'm not sure if this is from a local enviromental effect or the wheels themselves but that's the only attribute I've noticed appeared. The new vs error tires at discount...im not sure what the cheaper error tires look like but my new tires were mixed. The remolding attributes appeared more prevalently on one or two of the tires and the others were much more subtle and barely noticeable. So, I wasn't able to really settle on what the difference was or would be between the two kinds of tires as far as how pronounced the remolding lines and errors would be based upon the effect I see on the new versions. I assume there's just more of these errors and probably a combined appearance of the two kinds of errors instead of just the remolding character. It's not pronounced or loose or gapped or noisey at all. The tread is quiet but obvious in it's pronounced stance on the road and again..off road driving is amazingly comfortable and well cushioned and potholes off road really barely exist at all and speed is no issue whatsoever. The tires do concern me with cleaning and treating because of the remolding...they're all terrain so they look a bit knuckled and that's enough appearance wise. They don't call to me to be aesthetically appropriate for a real polished wet look but that's my opinion. I use chem. Bros. Water based tire shine so I don't think it would be an issue for the remolding but it just makes me wonder if there's any treatments I should avoid but...I rarely leave tires alone all together and i think i may try that with these tires. Definitely pleased with the warden all terrain and I can only imagine what the dirt Lord and other models are like! They must be amazing!! These tires are impressive to me personally. I see alot of all terrain and off-road tires around locally and I really am not impressed with thier appearance and wear and tread patterns. I like the wardens tread alot. It's aggressive but consistent and compressed pattern keeps the ride quiet and the stance firm. Really Interested in other treadwright tires at this point and definitely am set on making this my brand of tire for a long time. Oh, one other note...my truck does not jack at the same height after installing these tires...my old tires were quite worn down and low profile compared to these tires but they stand firm and full at the minimum pressure psi and it takes two or three more inches to jack these tires up or at least it seems to so far. I know some people out there have that kink for grease to prove that a billionth of a micron is accurate or not...so as I said...it seems so far these tires do not jack at the same height as my old falken tires...can't satisfy the perverts of proof easily! Sorry! I guess they made guns and gallows for those of us who miss by any amount of proof! Hahaha! Screw them!!(im sure theyre dying for it!) These tires are great! That's the proof!

I've seen just as many bad reviews as I have good reviews on these. And of the bad ones, most of them are separation at high speed causing a lot of damage. I drive my truck on the highway frequently so I just can't take the chance. You get what you pay for in my opinion. I drive a lot and having safe tires is more important to me than having cheap tires. If my truck was strictly mud and off road maybe I'd give them a shot. Otherwise I'll spend a little more for new, quality tires.

Treadwright makes good tires. Unfortunately they also make a lot of bad tires. There are just as many bad reviews here on KZfaq as there are good! When the tires blow, the damage is a lot more severe than a standard tire. They will do every thing they can to not honor the warranty. They remove and block negative feedback on their site. They blamed my tire failure on the casing which I would understand if I provided the casing, but they provide the casing. Their quality control and customer service is horrible. If you plan to do any more than drive off road, just skip these tires. The savings is not worth it.

From what I have read and seen the tires are basically an agricultural truck tire to be used on dirt roads or shallow mud roads at speeds below 25 MPH. They have significant balance problems so regular street driving 25MPH-55MPH is not advisable, nor is highway driving 55MPH-85MPH. While the recap looks better than a simple retread, it seems that the carcasses are significantly unbalanced, possibly due to the mass of the repairs they do to the carcass.

I bought 6 of these and out of 6 four of them were absolute trash and not able to be balanced. They trashed my ride quality and the truck cannot even be driven on the road at high speeds. Their warranty sounds so great but when the tires are bad they require you to send them in And then they inspect them, and them after whatever timeframe that takes they will make a decision on which tires they want to warranty. I had the tires tested and 4 of their road force numbers were so bad that it was dangerous. These will have costed me more than if I had just bought the expensive tires I wanted.

There's no way I would take chances there in order to save a few bucks a tire, if those tires are ever going to see the highway. I also don't think that you're actually saving much if anything considering the 40k life span of the tire. I've had a set of Goodyear Duratrac m/t tires which I purchased new on my truck for about 50k and have nearly twice the tread depth left that's on the tires in this video. A Treadwright tire in my size would be about $140, plus the cost to mount & balance; the Goodyear is about $230, including mount & balance. Mount & balance at most tire shops in my area for a tire that wasn't purchased from that shop is around $35-$55 per rim, depending on type and size. That makes the Goodyear at least $30 per tire cheaper over the long haul. Btw- I've never had a Goodyear that I purchased new and used properly fail by any other cause than a puncture caused by a nail or screw.

very interesting how every point you made has been almost universally shown to be invalid from like 90% of the comments here. i was about to buy the tires until i saw this video. the comments made me research them a little more and almost every single review of these tires is negative. and not negative in a “oh they’re too loud/they wear too fast/they don’t perform great off-road.” these are issues of people’s lives being put in danger by these tires before they even drove enough miles to rotate the tires for the first time!! and these negative reviews are EVERYWHERE that has comments that aren’t able to be deleted/moderated by the manufacturer.

Never run retreads on a single wheel axle. NEVER NEVER run them on a steer axle. Great for an old truck running around the farm and not on asphalt much. I started to tune out when i saw the flip flops.

Thanks for the great review, I just ordered 5 of the 285/70r17's for my 2004 Durango. It was $810 shipped for 5 with the 40k mi warrantee and the 25% off with the 4th of July "freedom25" code. Can't wait to run them and see how they stack up to the Duratracs and KM3's I've run.

All the comments of tires shedding apart and having to use so many weights to balance them says enough. I have run highway long haul for years and truth is recaps and old casings are not as good as a brand new tire. We have a fleet of over 60 trucks and we run nothing but Michelin rubber. On my personal truck Goodyear Michelin BFs any major brands. Last place i will try to go cheap is tires on my trucks. Been there done that with being a broker with a class 8 truck pulling trailers of other people. Trailer leasing companies put cheap rubber. I have had casing blow up thread coming off same problems as to what allot is mentioned here. Quality tires are an investment for your safety. No way will i go the cheapest route.

Yes agree don't waist your money on this cheap make believe to be great, awesome tires. Bought them for my 03 Ram didn't last 3 months and they refuse to cover under warranty nor exchange. 1 end up with a broken belt as I was on the highway the other the over laying molded came off/loose. Send them pictures and all they asked for and never got anywhere. Safety first, don't risk it as I did. Just saying.

These tires are extremely dangerous.... Had a rear tire turn in to a balloon, and my f350 vibrating violently. Then on the way home, same thing started in the front, then blew out on me on I84. Do yourself a favor, especially if you care for yourself, your truck and your FAMILY, stay far away from this junk of a tire! THEY ARE DANGEROUS!!

Lol the wear says a lot about your truck not the tires. Suspension parts play a big role in how your tires wear and if your doing the proper maintenance of rotating tires every 5,000 miles with oil changes. No matter what tire you do have if you aren’t taking care of your truck they’ll wear the same way, and 50,000 miles is not bad considering average people drive less than 15,000 miles a year. A good tire should last 3-5 years. Just constructive criticism here. Couldn’t watch any longer than a minute.

I just had a horrible experience... bought claw ll tires from treadwrite tires for h2 about 1 year ago. I don't use my Hummer very much.. so only have about 300 miles or so of use...went out on a short trip about 1 1/2 from my home , had Hummer checked as I always do b4 any trip specialy this once since I had my daughters friends coming along.. anyhow on the way back home driving on the highway my truck started shaking and vibrating I lost control spun out on the highway luckily I was able take control cars behind me were aware of what was going on and kind of stayed back so I was lucky not to hit any other vehicle anyhow I will be glad to show you the horrible pictures of my tires both of my back tires tread separated one more than the other horrible experience I will never buy tires from them again I will let you know the outcome of this battle this just happened couple days ago and still shaken up .... just contacted them so I will let you know the outcome I hope they refund me and pay for my bumper and plastic underneath the firewall that cracked anyhow like I said I'll be happy to show you pictures I've never seen nothing like that..

If you get a good set, fine. I got square tires and they shake badly, wear badly, and warranty is a joke. There is no warranty, it should be called the department of Excuses not to make things right. If I had spent $20 bucks more each, I would have had round tires that didn't shake my teeth out. They are not round, and the only way to fix it is a new tire.
