Fleeced … remind me, how many professional games has Matt Savioe played? He’s 5-10 and has shown to be somewhat injury prone. Certainly tons of talent but come on.

@@krt88nc my man, he was the 9th pick overall and the Oilers gave up a 4th line bottom six player.. Savoie, the point totals and just won a league championship with Moose Jaw, just ran into a juggernaut London Knights team and a lucky Saginaw team in the Memorial Cup. The Oilers needed to clear cap giving other teams leverage, the Oilers cleared it plus got next to Borgeault probably their next best prospect if not their best now unless you count Broberg or Holloway. That’s getting absolutely fleeced.

I don't understand tradeing a Top prospect like Savoie for a mid player, when you didn't make the playoffs, what are they thinking in BUF?

Personally I think it's players, agents and teams doing thing behind closed doors. Someone asked for a trade or they knew they wouldn't come to terms and moved on. I'd actually like to see more of this and it's bound to happen with all the teams that stock pile draft picks.

They are thinking they need a 3rd line center and there’s not enough room for Savoie, Kulich, Rosen, Ostlund, and Helinius (all 1st rounders in past 3 drafts), plus Wahlberg all playing professional hockey. Can they all make the Sabres roster in next 2/3 years? Some of them need to be used as assets.

@@krt88nc I agree but had they shopped him they could have gotten more I think. The truth is as long as Adam's is the GM, Buffalo isn't getting better sorry to say

I can’t for the life of me understand what Buffalo’s game plan is. There’s next to no chance that this team would sell, but how do they sustain? The NHL throwing them bones hosting the draft? 2011 was the last time this team made the playoffs and they have had soooo much talent come and go. It’s baffling to me at this point.

McLeod is 24, he’s big, he’s fast, he’s a defensive specialist who could still improve. Lavoie is 5’9”, prone to injury, and may never play a full season in the NHL. Everyone is overstating his upside. Smaller guys who have scored goals in junior are much more common than big guys who can skate. This trade is a win for both teams. I would bet Lavoie is traded before he ever plays a game for Edmonton.

That is a false statement, Trouba doesn’t have any protection for his Wife in his contract. I would like you to present as to where that information came from?. He gave 17 teams he blocked and 15 teams he can be traded too.
