Welcome back to episode 3 of our Norfolk Broads July Experience!
In this episode we set off from St Benet's Abbey, where we have a leisurely cruise up towards Horning and Salhouse Broad (with a hairy moment near Horning Yacht Club!) We then cruise down Fleet Dyke and explore South Walsham Broad before mooring up for the evening.

Another great video! Thanks guys.Glad you managed to get to South Walsham Broad on my recommendation and didn'tdo whatwe did overnight😂. We moored up on another visit at the same spot as you on that bend. Fairhavens Gardens are also worth checking out at some point if you're in the area again.

Hi Robert! Thanks again for your recommendation, we are glad we took you up on that - South Walsham was a lovely peaceful spot. Funnily enough, we were planning on visiting Fairhavens Gardens, however the place was just about to close when we got there; maybe next time? Hope you're both doing okay and avoid the 'mud weight saga' again on the Broad! Take care

What a beautiful sunset captured on film. We left Norfolk and UK 12 years ago so your films are a reminder of the wonderful Norfolk/Suffolk countryside. Lived in Oulton Broad for 15 years also, so look forward to see some film of that one day. Do prefer the solitude of those quiet peaceful moorings.

Do you ever think you will visit again? Regarding Oulton Broad footage - keep your eyes peeled as we visit in our next series! We also agree with you, we tend to like the more quiet peaceful moorings. Take care

@@twomenandaboat8681Yes a trip back would be nice. Miss many things about Norfolk/Suffolk. Remember quite a few years back our introduction to the Broads. First boat was Brinks Ricarda and then Pink Champagne. Who knows if these boats are still afloat.???. Fell in love with the Broads so decided to move there. Keep up the great filming.

Salhouse Broad , on the , what they call The Island, you can side on moor and it is quieter on the Island we have found. Ok if you dont need the pub of course, and water point is definitely over where you have to stern moor.

Hi Bernadette - thanks for your comment, as always! Also, thanks for the suggestion as we had never really considered mooring at Salhouse Island as an option. We tend to prefer the quieter moorings, so this will certainly be an option in the future, so thanks. We were not aware that Salhouse Broad had a water point over at the main stern-on moorings! why did you turn round to go past st bennet's Abbey then turn back round to go towards wroxham when you was already facing in that direction when you was moored up at the abbey?

Hi Tony! Very well observed! Because of the strong winds and tight mooring position (complicated by river traffic) - we decided to reverse out and turn. We hope you enjoy the video series. Take care.
