Back in the early 90's I took a break from college to go work as a Wrangler on Cattle Ranch in west Texas and to this day I miss because it was a very rewarding feeling at the end of the day. I miss waking up at 4am drinking a hot cup of coffee and saddling up your horse that's been given to you while your working there and watching the sun come up while sitting in a saddle on your horse drinking that cup of coffee.

Last February..in Texas, you could drive down the road and see dead cattle laying in the fields, because we are not acclimated to these temps.

It went down to 0 degrees in Carrollton last year.

depends on what part of Texas...if it's west Texas where most cattle are...everyone is acclimated to freezing temps every single year. The cows were keeping warm when they lay down, they do it a lot especially when it's hot.

The law will hold you responsible if you don't keep them inside a shelter. You should build a tent to keep them alive. Don't let them get hurt by that cold. They are suffering very badly. They are under big torture. Where is your hurt? Who told you, that they can stand that low temperature while their body wet . They couldn't fall to sleep for many days. At this point in time, the real problem is not only the food. Is the temperature 🌡️

Try doing that in 3in of ice or 2 foot of snow 300 head. That's when they need you the most.
@KB-ke3fi2 жыл бұрын
yeah it was about 2 inches of ice last year and down to about minus 20 in east texas for 4 days. Took awhile to get all 1,500 of em in before it dropped down to about 10 F. Try doing that and crossing 4 streams 12 miles away.

From last year’s February when so many animals died, and other occasional freezing temperatures, farmers should have learnt, built shelters for the animals! So how is he trying to keep them alive and warm if the snow is still falling on them? Their shelter should come with them to the ranch the same day cos this kind of weather is not new!! This is animal abuse, making them suffer under such cold! Excuse me 🥶 !!!!!!!!!
