My husband and I separated in 2003. In 2005 I was finally brave enough to start fostering......then in 2008 , at 56 yrs of age I adopted siblings. My son was 4 months, and my daughter was 2 1/2. I am now 71. My children are 15 and 17. God has been amazingly good to this little family. I wouldn't change anything!! Love my life!!!

The fact that you gave up your only personal space in the home that you solely pay for, for these beautiful children who need help is amazing and probably your ticket into heaven. As a former ward of the state, you make me so proud. You remind me of my last foster mother, she was the only person that taught me about stability and gave me unconditional love. God bless you sir.

His only ticket to Heaven is the sinless Blood that the Lord Jesus shed for him (and us,) on the Cross. There's no other way into Heaven except by coming to Jesus.

Anthony is so very nice and humble he was left with the smallest room while the others had larger rooms .Such a nice young man .

He had a large walk in closet though and was closer to Zay instead of the little ones. And close to the tv room I think! He’s such a sweetie.

Yeah, I personally think Anthony should have the largest bedroom.. ..but I am an oldest too, so maybe it's because we always have to give up everything for the younger so that's why I want him to have the largest one. That and because he is so kind and mild mannered and he deserves it 😊

It was funny hearing Anthony call Peter "Peter" instead of Dad. I think that was the first time hearing him say that. He's growing up so fast.

Peter, I was raised in a large family of 8 children. My parents are 92 and 91. So blessed by having them as them as my parents. They had 6 and adopted 2. Love is everything ❤♥

Every time I see Zay smile I am so happy for him, and you all. If Zay ever reads this, "You have a great smile". One thing I was wondering since Zay is over 18 now, does it change how many kids you can foster, being that there are 2 adults in the home now? Secondly, is Zay driving, attending community college, or working? He seems like a great person! I hope each one in your family learns about love & life and all the ups and downs in between... and that with love and direction WE AMAZING HUMANS CAN OVERCOME ANYTHING ❤ ps. Having a father that truly loves you is an amazing benefit.. God bless you all.

Isn’t he still in high school? I can’t recall. However, kids in North Carolina who turn 18 while in foster care can stay in foster care until age 21. So they can continue receiving services like health care and their foster parents can continue receiving aid for their care, from what I can tell.

Zay has moved on and out of the home. He is living with a friend and his mom. He seems to be much happier since he decided to move away but he still has one more year of high school.

@@jennysnook I agree, because Anthony, apart from being the eldest, he is also his adoptive son since he was a child, the other kids are foster kids, and could leave anytime, its a temporary situation. I don't think it was fair on him to be left with the smallest room, since he has more stuff to move being Peter's son and having lived with him the longest.

The oldest kid tends to get the smallest room in some families since that child will be leaving sooner than the rest.

WOW... a lot has happened since I last saw your vids. Actually, you and your 1st son. Going to go back and watch you grow episode by episode. They all seem accepting and tolerate of each other. Love you Peter for having such a big heart and willing to share what you have with those less fortunate.

Oh my gosh, I can't get over with the introduction's song. I just love it, especially the part that says: "No matter what you've gone through, you're not alone". Whenever I heard that piece of the song, it just made my day.

I'm a little late to the game but it makes me laugh that the dogs are as excited as the kids. They know, they definately know and being a year later, it was a great thing that he did get a bigger house! I'm only in my 50's, am I too old to be adopted? Haha. Congrats

Peter, congrats on the new house. The kids will love their rooms. I would make the first floor front room as a spare bedroom just in case you get an urgent call to take in more kids needing love.

CONGRATULATIONS on your new home! I am SO HAPPY for you all! Peter, you are a TRUE GOD SEND! A TRUE SERVANTS HEART AND an EXCELLENT LOVING FATHER!!! What a testimony! I grew up hearing many of the same lies from my step father and mother and am PROUD to say, I BROKE THAT CURSE! I remember as far back as I can remember, I'd always say " I want to buy a HUGE house and take in all the children who are unloved and raise them as my own." Sadly, it didn't happen, just yet! I still believe it will come true in some form. Satan is a LIAR! I CRIED listening to your testimony! BUT GOD my brother, BUT GOD!!! Continued and INCREASED BLESSINGS!
