Thanks for this...very simple to follow your directions. This update is fantastic...I was stuck in some release 14 hybrid mode where I had the selection for passthrough available, but it obviously didn't work. Passthrough is now working! Oculus link cable test is also now too.

A tip I learned recently: if you select the path in the file Explorer and type in "cmd" it opens up a cmd window in the current folder!

when im downloading the update it just starts up again while updating so the update stops and the quest starts up again without updating

Just a quick question, I have multiple users loaded on my Quest by following your tutorial you did a while ago. Can I use custom environments yet or does it still not work if I have multiple users?

The update starts, i see the download bar (?) moving but at aprox 35% my Oculus is booting normally back to ver 14. I tried on 2 laptops with the same result. Any suggestions?

I have a question and its maybe bmbf fault i dont know so my problem is that my oculus quest loose sometime for 1 or 3 seconds the tracking for my oculus touche someone know how to fix it ? PS:i already try to clean the camera and sorry for my poor english and is this because of bmbf ?

do you have a link to v16 update file ..mine is stuck on update loop so factory updated it so what does that take it back to ..it was on 16 ..i have tried with 17 and still just on the loop comes on with green bar and chip loading ..then turn on well tries to you get the oculus sign then it goes to a black screen that's it ..if you restart it just does the same ..

Nothing. Oculus remove it after they were are lot of issues. Just wait until the release it for the public again.

I dont get the new dashboard. Tried your way but I had some problem connecting while blinking purple. I entered auto update and installed. I get the passthrough. Also webbrowser... But no new UI/dash option. Any ideas?

Double-tapping (v15 installed, Guardian activated as is the relevant Passthrough setting) doesn't do anything for me. I thought the issue might be the bigger 3d printed parts holding the Audio Deluxe Strap versus the original strap, making it more difficult to make the headset recognize tapping on the sides, but since it's working for you.. I wonder if that really is the issue here for me. Hmmm

Nice video, but for some reason I didn’t get the new interface when I updated my quest. I have double tap for pass through and the browser’a multitasking, but not the new user interface. Any idea why that’s happening to me?

The last time I did this (I think the v12 update was it) it worked. But now I get: error: protocol fault (no status) and then the Quest does a regular bootup.

I notice recording of the pass through camera is still blocked! Are you recording with the old quest cast to PC .bat file? If so, and they've locked that out, I might not update just yet..

@@tycotech Ahh. So, it's interesting that sidequest is recognized as a pass-through blocked recording app, while your Q cast .bat file still works. I just don't want to loose the ability to record the in between (AR) gradient mode. Awesome to see some "slider" dynamics implemented in the 15 interface.

My party link cable worked great but hasn't worked since the v14 update even with the Quest and PC oculus app both updated. I just got the v15 update yesterday and still doesn't work hopefully it will work when the PC app updates to v 15. It says my party link cable is a type 2 but it's a 3 because I have been using it for months🤯🤔😲😳

That's very weird. Have you tried rotating the plug end 180 degrees and plugging it back in? Are you using the usb c-a adapter?

@@tycotech I connect the party link to the C port on the back of my laptop and to the C on the quest that's the only way it would work and it has worked flawlessly until around the time of the v14 update, I think it must be the oculus app because it now only recognizes the cable as a usb 2 and before it recognized it as a 3, I know it's not the laptop because I'm playing Halflife Alyx and other games with Virtual Desktop with no problems.

Hi JBR, We have not heard of this issue before, however the Oculus app can be a little tricky sometimes. Have you tried turning PTC On/Off? Also check your USB drivers did not update. Kind Regards, PartyLink Support.
