During Oogie waves, it can be good to adjust the stronger towers to prioritize most health/armour/shields in order to target Oogie earlier.

Putting a mortar on those 4-sided turns is a perfect example of why you haven't had a win yet, NL. That is the absolute best place to put a fast AOE tower, and you're using it for the slowest ranged tower available. I watched a guy get a 2-lane win with basically two (TWO!) teslas. He did have ballistas for economy, but they did about 0.1% of the total damage, and a third tesla that did absolutely nothing until the final wave, where it killed a single group of enemies spawned by Big Brain Oogie. BBO himself was killed by one of the two main teslas.

NL need to realize mostly upgraded ballista is one of the best towers, upgrade cards are just better than new towers, every additional tower dilute deck pool making upgrade harder.

I was a believer during this and I when he got that map I actually felt a little attacked personally.

When NL placed a shredder directly behind the portal instead of a flame thrower is the first time I've audibly reacted to his videos, sometimes I just don't understand his brain

literally died the same way as last time he got to Big Brain Oogie, I thought for sure when he started building towers further down the line he wouldn't make the same mistake. But in typical egg fashion he recognized a need, gave it the smallest possible attention and then forgot it existed.

my biggest tip for you is that you take too many different types of towers, which dilutes the card pool so all your towers end up pretty mediocre

Here's some tips for u :3, Obelisks are great for damaging high HP enemies but SUCKS at clean up, try to use 2 frost keeps on areas where your main dmg dealers are to eliminate RNG based slow they do, Use lookout with Obelisks to maximize it's dmg outputs, Radars are great for slow, high HP based enemies, place Tesla's around the map to thin out huge crowds, Try to spam mana banks when your confident with your defense, Shredders are great for clean up but SUCKS at damaging high HP enemies and finally spam encampments near the tower to eliminate any pesky leakage.

NL when you take sorcery you gotta upgrade your mana banks reserve so each one you put down adds to max mana best way to solve any mana problems and a early particle cannon is way better than an obelisk with Morters

The reason Lisa couldn't solve the puzzle is because she was ignoring one element that ended up being key because she thought it was too simple. Which makes me think of what NL said about upgrading individual towers being too much work, lol.

Particle effects are actually lightweight these days. Number of animated instances of enemy are the problem. ECS is solution.

This happened to me yesterday on level 16. I was so happy to not see a single split until the 15th tile told me to tun into the middle of the others. It definitely moves quick.

All the flamers/posion towers should be put on slowest, so they fire straight down the lane. This would keep everything alight with dots.

I beat the game with poison sprayer/flamethrower/shredder clusters plus the DOT application buffs and poison slow. A single particle cannon and biplane/radar targeting most shield and most health. Then another of each when the path stretches beyond the range of the first. Also a swarm of ballistae closer to the tower (but not right on it) levelled to 10 and targeting "near death" with one poison sprayer solely for the slowing as one layer of defense against survivors and speedsters. Closer to the tower around a bend right after the ballistae swarm, two encampments to catch survivors and speedsters with massive burst damage. The encampment just slowly churns out landmines while my clusters melt hordes. By the time anything reaches them there's maybe 15+ mines leveled to do 1k damage for each damage type. The first 6-10 squares of path from the tower never saw a single enemy after like wave 15 until 43. Never took banditry, not worth. There's 5 levels of another card that boosts gold drop by one each. Enemies drop 5 gold at the start, plus another 5 from the card I mentioned. Enemies now drop 10 gold each. Plus one more gold for every different tower they are hit by. Plus house bonus.

At first I wasn't sure about buying this game but now I'm sold on its variables. You also introduced me to Vampire Survivors

Incredibly short map with lots of corners, "Increase the DoT's!" ....but the line is so short... should focus on getting more damage on those long corners so make the most of the range

Yup, had this map gen too except with a ~20 level path. Got to level 44 but big brain ooogie absolutely handed my ass to me because of the length.

I love getting this type of map. I can get a bit frantic since there is never a pause

Pretty cool run, i think the priorities on some towers could've helped (i.e. obelisk near portal not targeting most armour). Almost at that dub though, keep at it!!

I went ballista only and crushed double path when my record on single was losing to zombie oogie three times. I was stunned.

The soundtrack in this game goes way harder than it needs to but I do enjoy it.

And for God sake, shield damage is what you need to focus on late game. The extra armor damage multiplier isn't worth a damn late game

It hurt to see an obelisk in a tesla's spot, which he rolled and didn't grab, especially with a lot of +2's and +3''s around, like the one 2 right and 1 up from the particle cannon for the obelisk.. and a fairly good looking double laned kill zone right by it. I wish I had the guaranteed winning path luck that NL does in this run lol, love actually seeing obelisk in use either way.

Sometimes, even the center of the protractor is just not enough.

I had this same thing but on wave 9, lost on 42nd wave, just not enough damage on the map.

I think NLs biggest weakness with this game is positioning. He's absolutely getting better at it, but he falls into the fallacy of +3 spots being where he needs to place his towers. +3 spots are lovely, but when they're in the corner of the map like that Obelisk, it's worse than a spot that has +0 but is in the center of the turning path. And then the second Obelisk, he puts it on the +3, but it's wedged into the far edge of a nice semicircle path. If you put it on the +0 in the middle of the semicircle, it would cover more ground than the +3 in the corner. The AoEs mean nothing if they aren't covering paths. There are many, many OP spots that are +1 and +2, positioning is much more important than hitting that +3

NL won't see this, but when you have so many mana banks. Keep an eye out for "Savings Accounnt" Upgrade. Adds +10 to each mana bank stroage. This +6% mana total regen is huge

Radars are pog at dealing with bosses in my opinion, usually deletes em before reaching my main defenses

so at 34:10 NL beats level 31 and progresses to 32, but immediately after he managed to clear the few enemies that made it through on round 32 and because there were no enemies left on the map it progressed him to 33. This could be a cool bug to have fun with. edit: I think it might have doubled the mobs too though so maybe its just death

in case NL reads youtube comments, get radar, set to 1. most armor 2. least shield 3. slowest... best tower to take out carts, robots, and bosses.

NL, mana vaults get bonusses from height as well.

Toss in like 6 radars focusing on fastest, highest health and highest shield. Even big brain oogie gets melted no problem.

Part of the problem is your placement, that mortar can reach a huge portion of the map but you placed it in a spot that was ideal for a Tesla coil or Obelisk...

Almost Upgrades the whole tree... has not unlocked any of the passive tower Upgrades 😅

The worst thing about this game, and the reason this run went so well is that you actually get more enemies when paths branch, so there's a huge luck factor around how many times your path splits
