thank god for me Last Of Us is a done game.. it died with Part 2. Don't care about it anymore as longs a NEIL CUCKMAN is in charge. I play elden ring, Lords of Fallen, Lies of P etc..... or soon Final fantasy 7 rebirth , many PC games etc.. ( there are way better zombie survival games on pc ) so yeah i'm done with triple A sony story games, they are shit God of War Ragnarök was shit too.... spider man 2 is total woke( anti white propaganda.. so yeah fuck those silly games. Now i only focus on Souls like games, maybe i pick up fighting games that i played in youth or racing too. But those triple A story games are dead to me... at least for now , until they fix their generic lame game play .... don't care about RE 5 remake too,...really fuck them all. Did not care about RE4 remake too.

I called it, after Jim Ryan Announced his retirement that if playstation were to go back under the Japanese control all of this live service shit Jim Ryan and the western market is obsessed with and pushed for would get canceled immediately. Sony's CEO will be Japanese once again and all of this western bullshit is gonna start dying off on sony's platform, and I can't wait to watch it happen. The only 1st party studio that Sony owned that I cared about no longer exist and that was SIE, the devs behind Gravity Rush, Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, and Last Guardian. Suckered Punch need to take their asses back to the Infamous series, naughty dog and Drunk-man can fuck off as far as I'm concerned, and Insomniac need to stop fuckin around and make a new Resistence game, lord knows that IP has been ignored long enough.

Not sure how watching a great cut scene is a dig but okay. Not only do they have great cutscenes but they have awesome gameplay as well. Sony delivers quality games and that's why they continue to grow and grow and grow. I'm glad that multiplayer garbage was cut and thrown in the garbage bin for it belongs. Multiplayer microtransaction garbage can stay in Call of dookie LOL what happened is bungee came over and looked at what they were doing over at naughty dog and said what the hell are y'all doing LOL Neil needed a new maxi pad because he was leaking down there and Sony told him to kick rocks on this garbage content You're Building and get back to making quality single player games cuz he's lost your way. Yes that means great cutscenes as well because some of us out there really like a quality story along with some good gameplay

Im honestly wondering what took development so long. you already had the framework of what people wanted from TLOU 1 multiplayer and the art assets from TLOU 2. It shouldnt take 6 years to put together a multiplayer game with all that.

The problem is making a sole multiplayer that is expected to be in constant development and played for years is extremely difficult especially if you are coming for single player games it requires an entirely different development philosophy and mindset, it would also swallow the whole studio. My guess is they found all this out as the game can along and they didn't have the expertise to make it happen and probably had internal studio issues also that pretty much made it impossible to continue, I doubt they had anything close to a finished product like they claim.

It was supposed to be a tacked on MP for TLOU Part 2 but they were struggling to launch the game on time and decided to just cancel MP, fool everyone into thinking factions 2 will be standalone because it grew so big then cancel it when they realize all they had was a bare bones MP game.

Sony hasn't lost a lot of revenue. The problem is that Playstation isn't driving profits from that revenue effectively. What does that mean? Basically Sony has tried to stop Xbox via contractual obligations and the cost of doing this is weighing on them so much that it is killing them. They aren't getting enough profits to maintain the business.

Not only that, but Microsoft seems to have already learned this lesson. If some of their top revenue streams are not something they own, then it is not something they can count on for the growth and sustainability of their business. Sony is learning that the hard way they get a lot of revenue from Call of Duty. They did really good with it now. It's going into the competitor sand. And that revenue supply is just slowly going to get smaller until it. Kind of levels out with everybody equally. Playing Call of Duty bout everywhere. So it would be wise to get a big revenue stream under their name that is destiny@@jerm70

Sony can't profit with just single player games that cost $100-300M to make. They need recurring revenue. Either subscription services like gamepass or multi-player games. Multi-player games outsell single player games in revenue and profit. Also Sony needs to make cheaper AA games that sell well and make a lot of them.

I own an xbox and play mostly on there... I love games, so anything from everywhere, I look at all kinds of games... From watching Microsoft to Nintendo, I like the comfortable feeling you get when watching games with your friend, especially when it comes to game events like summergamefest... But these people are just too much... Let people enjoy whatever they want, without the need to gatekeep... I don’t blame them for being mad to be honest. Xbox has all the multiplayer games. The one thing that Playstation is losing to Xbox on. They had an opportunity to get their own first party multiplayer game and they canceled it. That’s gotta sting. 😂

I'm glad it's dead. Live service games are a blight on creative game design. BG3 proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that people want quality design and loving craftsmanship over endless dreck.

Honestly I think this is actually good news in the long run. The plan to more heavily focus on live service games by Sony was a bad idea and a mistake to begin with imo. The 1st party single player and/ or co-op games on PS (especially Bloodborne) are the only reason I'd even buy a PS (if I could afford a 3rd console 🫤). Ponies probably were so excited about all the live service games coming up mostly because everything Sony says sounds great to them lol. I always thought the strength of PS were the single player/ co-op games. I can't name one 1st party pvp game on PS I'd find interesting.
