Nurse with certain addons is definitely literally unstoppable. But just the basic nurse is a.very well designed killer in my opinion. I think tru3 explained it very well, just watch some of his gameplay against the nurse. Its basically all about the mindgames, a good survivor can make a good nurse struggle. And no matter if I play as or against the nurse, I always get in that tryhard mood, and maybe Im being weird, but I like that mood. That only applies to the basic nurse or a nurse with basic addons, as I said, some add-ons really make Nurse overpowered.

I havn't played Nurse a lot for a long time, but I seem to remember survivors being able to juke and not being such morons.

Well I play and main her on console. I thought of it being impossible to actually master and learn such a killer but I still gave it a try. I was freakin TRASH. HOPELESS. It was fun AND irritating to finally learn here but I just couldn’t stop playing her. Before I knew it I was rank 1 with mainly her every single season for a year straight. Mastering her is the most rewarding out of any other killer. It’s just non-stop fun playing her and when MASTERED, you truly feel like an extremely powerful killer.

I want to play nurse and get good at using her, but I can literally play an entire match with her and literally get only ONE hit for the entire match. She seems strong. I usually get wrecked playing against her, but I can't play her for $hit. If I get a nurse daily it's immediate trashed. I wish I could use her!!

I disagree with the nurse rundown. A killer shouldnt be defined by pallet and window looping. The design space will be limited by these resrictions alone making gameplay too simplistic. It limits killers design space which is important to keep open considering we are starting to retread on some of the same ground already with the freddy rework. It varies survivour gameplay to have nurse and spirit in the game. No longer is looping your defense instead its consistent los breaking and a focus on optomising your efficiency as a survivour to try and outrun these aggresive killers. Once nurse has spotted you focus on los breaking and vary your movement patterns so she has to constantly keep guessing. Limit the info you give to nurse by taking perks like iron will or dance with me. Whatever makes tracking harder hurts the nurse. If your out in the open your dead the best you can do is hug debris and pray you can drag the chase out as long as possible. Healing is a luxury around nurse rush gens and dont waste time and giving your position away healing. Let be real here in the eu we have nothing but nurse and spirit in the red ranks and it isnt alone because there strong its because other killers just dont cut it. Survivours are too optomised, maps are too big to be messing with m1 killers double health states with 3 hooks each with Bt, adrenaline instas and boxes. This is not even taking into account swf groups who can communicate across maps and further optomise gen progression. Telling killers you shouldnt have nurse is unfair considering swf is still unbalanced. Map designs still have broken exploitable structures that even dosent entity block properly since ofc that feature is bugged atm.

I've been too intimidated to even try nurse (I have about 1800 hours also). I spent BP's in webs to get her perks. Changed my steam name to "learning nurse", so survivors would understand and it took me about 10 straight games to get the muscle memory down. I'm about 50/50 guessing where they went when going thru a jungle or gym or some kind of obstacle, but I'm dam near 💯 when they're in the open or at a loop. I'm a surv main too (only because the few minute waits make me mental). I won't stop playing her until I start scaring the shit out of red ranks. 👨‍🍳

Kind of feel this is more of an attempt to get nursed nerfed passively seeing its top discussion on forums but with all due respect these complaints about how strong she is coming from someone who wants a noed rework that don’t cleanse dulls is part of what hurts this community.

The best thing I figured out with Nurse is, when blinking to a corner like you explained at 17:00 you neither predict or blink straight to the corner. I usually bait that i am going to predict them (not blinking to the corner, instead blinking to their path which they are going to) and then I flick my mouse and blink to the corner. Most of the time they run into me and I get a hit on my first blink which helps even more if they are not injured. Less fatique and the chance that you'll lose them is decreased

the accuracy is how the area that she ends up landing on. Imagine a bullseye with the center of the bullseye being where you have the landing area (plaid flannel). What accuracy changes is how far from the center and coordinates from the center of the bullseye. The higher the value the more random and farther you're going to land from the center. But yeah. Its pretty much nonexistent in the game after the nurse update.

Nurse's second Blink shouldn't go through walls.

The nurse is not OP unless she has range add ons. They need to change the range add ons, maybe make it so accuracy actually does something bad, so your blinks are extremely inaccurate, but you can blink far. Nurse has counter play, you need to lose line of sight to do most of the counter play on her, however you can still mind game her. People need to play different against the nurse than other killers and that's where people fail. I recommend you watch TrueTalents video on the nurse from BOTH perspectives. He makes a lot of good points for both sides. Also that first clip you showed people were hook diving, running in straight lines, and trying to use pallets to stun you. Which did horribly for them. Also there was a disconnect which hurt them too.

Honestly, I started playing nurse and got in a skill bracket that I will call "just below average." I wasn't good, but I understood her mechanics well enough that I performed good enough. The chases ended so quick that I got really bored, really fast. For me, the chase is the fun in DBD. When I play survivor, I'm the looper in the friend group. When I play killer, I rock perks to do gen slow down for me so I can have nice long chases. So I found out, pretty quickly, Nurse isn't my cup of tea.

If you're good, you can do good vs a decent nurse. Some nurses however are godlike, but when dedicated servers hit, nurse will be 100% fair.

This video's old but because I want to make sure people that watch it don't get the wrong impression on the nurse. Nurse is my favorite Killer in DBD hands down, I learned to player her a few years ago back when killer was basically so painful to play most of the time, back when DS was basically free to use without dribbling, everyone had blinding flashlights and Nea's ran around and every game past rank 5 was a SWF 4 stack. Nurse (imo) is no longer the hardest killer to learn/play properly (I think this title sticks with The Spirit now because you still have to "play the game" with the environment) but she is still the killer that gets the most done. Nurse is a great killer for any player that wants to FEEL like you're a killer, where the whole game and process revolves around you and your power and ability to control it. Nurse allows you as a player to force survivors to do things your way, you have an INFINITE amount of control over the game with zero perks because of blink being able to go through walls, up and down floors, etc. If you give her ruin+thana you basically won't lose 90% of your games where the survivors are all solo as no one can really deal with that combo properly. She can get boring (though I'd say every killer can get boring) after a bit if you keep winning, but I do feel she gives every killer to play the game how DBD was advertised for so long, where survivors have to fear you and the game revolves around YOUR actions. She's power fantasy defined and has a great design too. No one should feel bad for playing nurse, for learning nurse, for using it at high ranks or low ranks or with ruin or whatever. She is the BEST killer for when you are tired of people making excuses and flaming you end game or tbagging across the map because generators are still done so fast even with ruin. Do NOT be afraid to learn this killer because she is still incredibly skill expressive and also calls out not only the DEV's of DBD but 90% of the "high rank" survivor player base.

Her power is basically a middle finger to counterplay mechanics in the game (windows, pallets). All you can do is find cover for a chance to lose her on a chase, and if you're on a map like Midwich, etc. you're fucked

Don''t really feel like this video displays nurse accurately. Most of your matches, someone DCs, and none of them looked like coordinated SWF teams. Yea, some games I play, I murder everyone with nurse before a single gen is done (like you did here), and if I used those games for a video, sure I could make it look like nurse was uber godly too. But you could do the same thing with other killers. Cherry pick good maps and matches and then say they are OP. But try running a perkless/addonless nurse in Lery's or Haddonfield. Or The Game against survivors who know what they are doing. Go against a SWF team with purple toolboxes and BNPs and watch as your gens melt before you even find a person. I see your point(s), but I don't think nurse is as OP as everyone says she is. She has maps on which she is difficult, just like other killers, and in the right situations, survivors can destroy nurses.

FPS Games people tell you to use a real gun that takes skill. Fighting games people tell you to use a real character. Racing games people tell you to use a car that takes skill. RTS games people tell you to use a faction that takes skill. Any game you play there’s always that thing that pisses people off. So the question is: Should developers stop putting in “noob” items or should people come to a mutual agreement that these things shouldn’t be used?

Personally, I think iron will is just a fun perk to run. My favourite perk build for survivor is Iron Will, Calm Spirit, Dead Hard, and Adrenaline. It is so fun to use calm spirit against a doctor and negate half his power with one perk.

i feel like her movement speed should be maybe even lower forcing he to use some blink to get across the map more, or putting a slight cd on a blink!, making it so you can't blink again for like 4 or 5 secs but you don't get the CC stun after blinking. this way she still has to chase that survivor but also still making nurse good vs survivors who camp loop locations since she can still blink through stuff for a free hit and ignore terrain/ pallets which is what really makes her good.
