I realized this in my dad. He had a lifetime of doing his best, it wasn’t received as good enough. Things could always have been worse, but people always focus on what more could have been done. That’s always a losing battle. I remember before he died, I told him thank you for all his sacrifices and now as a young man I understand the shoes he walked in and realize the gravitas of his character. He cried. From what place it came from, I felt was in part a release of hurt. Men, always remember to thank your fathers as others may not.

I teach and the question I ask my students, when they say they want to be married, is: Are you ready to wipe his ass, if he gets into an accident? That shuts a lot of that dreamy, romanticized way of thinking about marriage down and gets them thinking realistically. Marriage is for better or WORSE and some of them have never given any thought to what worse includes.

@USMC DEVIL DOG it’s a phenomenal I see often and it’s sad. I’m not Christian but I take a Christian perspective on this. In the Bible it says “he who finds a wife, finds a good thing”. You need to find your wife, she doesn’t become one during the relationship. If she ain’t wifey material now, then she ain’t ready.

I literally just watched a short where a young couple (boyfriend, girlfriend college aged) were asked how much they had in bank. The guy "$1400. The girl "40,000" The guy "WTF?!?! You have 40G and you've been making me pay for everything. Where'd you get it?" Girl "My dad gave it to me. You're my boyfriend, you're supposed to pay. It's not my fault you're broke." Guy "I just payed $400 for our date, and you have 40G?" Guy walks away, dumps girlfriend. This is real. The level of cognitive disconnect and narcissistic self delusion is beyond repair with "modern independent western woman." It affects all races and social/economic levels. It doesn't matter if you go passport, moment she steps into a western country she's already a lost cause. They will defend the "sisterhood" to the death, even when they know their position is indefensible.

After listening to Kevin I am shocked at how little society knows of the struggles that African American men go through. In the Persian East African culture a Man's income has little to do with the loyalty a woman renders. People often think submission is a position of weakness, however true submission IMO is the essence of femininity which is the art of humility deep seated kindness and delivering a man's needs without ever being asked. That is more powerful than any verbal stance could ever be.....

Don’t ask me why ... for whatever reason your comment stood out so I went to your page . You are inspiring 💪🏽 Your video of you talking about your battle with anxiety resonated with me because I’ve dealt with anxiety all my life. It wasn’t until I began to understand the root cause (childhood trauma) that I began to control it. Anxiety is rooted in fear much of that fear can be programmed in us as children. Know that it’s your own thoughts and fears that fuel anxiety. Become more aware of your thoughts see if you can connect that feeling or emotion. Ex: if you have social anxiety do you have a fear of judgment? If so Why? I had anxiety so bad it effected my ability to drive but only when I had a passenger 🥴 turns out that fear came from fear of judgment. Lol when I first learned how to drive my sister taught me but she would always yell telling me how bad of a driver I was and that stayed with me subconsciously. My social anxiety stemmed from being “left out” as a child and bullying. I always felt like ppl were judging me because I experienced it so often as a child and wanted to just be invisible lol as an adult that anxiety comes along in social settings because yet n still I was expecting to be ridiculed .. I had to learn to not give a damn what others said but most importantly that those negative thoughts and expectations had to be tweaked I had to change my thoughts to change my mindset to overcome the fear that was fueling my anxiety..... anywho best of luck to you on your amazing life transformation n journey you have the support of a black woman and new subbie !!! Keep pushing ❤️
