Actually he make lots of mistakes I wouldn't recommend at all. Why going for the melee damage whe nyou can put that into firerate for example. Also instead of going full 5 points each time it would be much more wise to make it 4 and 1 for example to benefit from both skills (don't forget that you get bonus of youre classmods as well which only benefit if you have at least one point in that skill allready). Also for youre first playthrough there is no need to get youre phasewalk cooldown so low. so instead spend the points into youre offensive skills and of course those nice kill skill effects. You get faster moving and more xp, better bullet damage and a massive firedamage near you (but be careful those barrels arround you can easely explode and kil lyou while you kill an enemy and gian the effect). For weapons look for good smgs and a classmode that refills youre smg ammo while providing bonus damage to smgs. Best would be a legendary smg with that effect and they are not that hard to get either (found 2 in my first playthrough) If you find a fast firing pistol or really good assaultrifle with high clipsize and good firerate and damage it is also worth to stick with. Thats basically everything you have to know. Later on don't make the melee mistake he does in his vid here melee is never the best option unless you really want to play a melee character. Otherwise concentrate on elemental and weapon buffs and youre surviveability instead. Allways remember the strongest enemy attacks are melee attacks!!! A Psycho can harm you for at least full shield and 70% health with only one attack when he is at youre level in midgame. When you are willing to handle the General Knoxx DLC and you get to the point where you should kill the 2 Ltn. for Athena the 2nd one drops a very strong non elemental smg with ricochet effect and a bulletswarm effect that is quite accurate the first one by the way drops an explosive sniper rifle with health transfusion effect. Both weapons come in handy if you go for the underdome dlc . The firehawk legendary pistol is also a nice addition if you get youre hands on a suitable one.

Because Borderlands is tied as my top favorite game series had to sub and say thank you. Also I’d never done a Lilith play through till this week. Going to load up make few changes, I was pretty close though. Also always loved the SMG’s with x4 damage, always my boss killers. Really missed them in the following series. i love how many people have different builds and value the skills differently. that means this is a pretty well balanced game for most parts. if skills feel equally valuable thats when you hit the jackpot. for my personal favorites: 1) intuition - by far the best skill. not bc of combat, but bc of faster looting. this accelerates (in combo with phase walk) the armory runs SO MUCH. it is like a 4x multiplier on getting pearls. 2) girl power - i have a perfect ironclad build with a intuiton/girlpower (catalyst) com. once you kill, you dont die. period. i regen more shield than 99% of the enemies can deal as damage to me. unless i get crowded, this is MORE OP than #3 because the damage absorption is even higher. 3) silent resolve. as he said: get a max phasewalk build and you are ultra hard to kill. in combo with #2 you are. the most dangerous thing will be knockback and going out of bounds at that point. but only #3 bc as said, girl power can make the difference between taking damage and taking no damage. for weapons: 1) defiler - this is FAR stronger than people think. not only do you get a spreading damage boost, it hits insanely hard and is accurate af. 2) anarchy - just because i dont want the lamo smg to be #2. 3) perfect ajax ogre - pure damage, insane accuracy, insane DPS. 4) probably penetrator? hm.. nah the wrath? i think they hit even harder.. yeah i think sniper lilith is insane as well. bessy is nice for craw, but not as versatile. 5) i dont think it is S tier but i have to put it here. hellfire. it is near infinite stacking fire damage. it is single target though. and it takes time. i have a MUCH higher kill rate with the defiler than this. more kills = more damage & more invulnerability.

Lets hope you blow up when bl3 comes out, really well made guide. :) two small things: the smacking sound might be disturbing to some people, might wanna work on that and (at least for me) some times the energy you put into you words is a little bit too much. For example the "optimizing" in the beginning. (as you might think, im not a fan of the screaming VPG which is quite similiar to that exclamation). Else: you have a enjoyable voice and "character, your guide is easy to follow and you get to the point with your explanations and reasoning. keep it going and you will blow up for sure! :)

An excellent guide! Especially the point regarding the four basic surviveability skills for Lilith. Right on the money. I think, every competent guide should address survival build and tactics, in parallel with DPS-oriented skills. One thing i'd like to add, is that the "Spark" skill is more potent than it might seem, even though it shines more in the second playthrough. Combined with a good mercenary class mod (boosting both SMG damage and its elemental chance) and a high-end elemental SMG (incendiary in particular) - renders Lilith pretty much unstoppable. This combo can go through all sorts of enemies like they are nothing, second playthrough and on. Even as far as taking various enemies out with a single SMG bullet. Class mods that boost Ignite effect damage - are a very close runner-up. Fast-reloading revolver with fire damage - can take serious advantage of such class mod and make Mordecai jealous. Or combining both setups, and switching them if the enemies get closer.
