Another great video guys, keep up the good work! =) Some battles that I would like to see soon are: THE BATTLE OF DALE, THE BATTLE OF MORIA and THE BATTLE OF HELM'S DEEP! As these are BIG battles, you could try a 1000 points battle to try and recreate them whilst also keeping them to a realistic size for your battle boards and the length of your videos =) Also some cool ideas for different game types that you could try for added variety are: CAPTURE THE FLAG(S), KING OF THE HILL, CAPTURE / KILL THE LEADER and CONQUER & CONTROL ALL STRONGHOLDS! =)

Hey, guys! Third of your videos I watched. I love your camera views, the way you show rules and profiles, the different boards and terrain and they way you talk and discuss! Very professional, super entertainment! I have some hints for you, if it is okay: 05:50 orcs should move 6 (or 3 if you want to shoot) 07:00 Come on, everything is so professional... until you use those measuring tools. Please get something better 😅 07:52 Actually, the kind of structure is important if you make an in-the-way-test, not how much of the oponent it covers. There is light (f.e. bushes and long gras), heavy (f.e. wood and stone) and fortified (f.e. loopholes) cover 21:50 if you fail a jump test over a wall, the unit is not prone but remains standing in front of the wall 26:10 the highest fight value on each side counts for all dice (later you ask about it). The 6 of the berserker would enough to have the draw and a 50 : 50 roll for who wins the combat. I also try to explain the "attack"-rule: After Mordor won the combat had Shagrat to make three strikes (3 attacks) and a orc with spear to make 1 strike (1 attack) on two targets, Lurtz and the berserker. For each of the four strikes to make you can choose a target. If the target is trapped or prone, then the strike is doubled (1 die becomes 2 dices). In this situation would be my choice: Try to kill Lurtz, who should be proned, too, btw! First let the spear supporter strike on him with two dice, then make single strikes (every strike has two dices) with Shagrat (who has the blood and glory special rule). If Lurtz dies and Shagrat still has 1-2 strikes, target the berserker. 27:30 If an infantery model counter charge a cavallary model (or Shagrat 😉) which has charged before, this counter charging model is still knocked prone if loosing the fight 43:00 Pls be aware that you have to make as many single fights in this situation then possible. If Lurtz is in contact with the orc with spear, he has to fight him alone, while Shagrat fights the pike carriers in a second combat. Same at 46:00 or 52:15 . 48:40 There comes the first heroic action! Nice! But keep in mind: All heroic actions have to be announced at the beginning of either the movement (march, move, channeling, resolve), shooting (shooting, accuracy) or combat (strike, strength, combat, defense) phase. Telling your oponent at the start of the specific combat is too late 😉 In general I emphasize you make use of heroic actions more often in future. Especially the heroic strike would have helped Gorbag and Gothmog a lot in their combats. And Heroic Moves would msybe give Shagrat the opportunity to use his shield more often. Maybe my advice to get used to it: The player with prority asks the other player at beginning of each phase "Any heroic actions"? (And the next level would be the specisl strikes depending on the weapons 😉) 57:25 Do you generally not play with the "army-broken-rule"? I hope, my comment is not too long. I just thought it might help. 😇 If anything is unclear (maybe because I am not a native speaker), you can always ask 🙂

it's not that common to make strikes against multiple models with only some of them being prone but it can happen (for example when you charge two models in the move phase and one of them has been knocked prone by some kind of special rule). when you win fights you direct your attacks at your enemy amd may split them the way you want. you normally get one strike for each attack you have but if an attack is directed at a model that is prone you get two dice/strikes. so for example: a model jumps off a building and gets knocked prone in the process in player 1's movement phase. then player 2 moves their models and moves one infantry hero model with 3 attacks (like Lurtz or Mauhur) into base contect with the prone model and another warrior. the hero model wins the fight and now has to make strikes. if the hero directs one attack on the prone model and the remaining attacks at the other warrior both will be hit by two strikes. the one attack against the prone model is translated into two strikes. the remaining two attacks are resolved as normal.

pg 47 of the gandalf rule book multiple combats "only consider the highest scoring dice and the highest fight value on each side"

They can go start their own channel and play shoots and ladders strictly by the rules. You should play any way you want. Being able to craft the game the way you want is a big part of the magic.

There is a rule mistake in 26:33 lurtz and berserker vs Shagrad: only the highest fight value counts, so it would have been a draw because the berserker got a 6 with Lurtz fight 5 and Shagrad mighted up to 6. PS Lurtz knows Strike

Another great batrep. You guys have legendary Camera pans, would love to find out your method. From my understanding, you count the highest fight value in a combat amongst all thrown dice

Hey guys, you don't have to assign all the strikes from a character to the same model. If Aragorn has 3 attacks, he could do one to each model. You can do them one at a time, calling the target, then rolling. Yo udo ahve to resolve all of one of your model's attacks before moving onto another model, though. You can't target spearmen if they're not engaged, which I think you guys have figured out by now! Not sure if you know this one either, but when a model is prone or trapped, you get to roll two dice for eachs strike, it's subtly different to just double the dice when you're fighting multiple models. If you were attacking two prone models, you have three attacks, so you have to do 2 to one model, and 1 to the other. It's just that for each attack you roll two dice. Love the content, keep it up, I love the longer form stuff!

it's always highest fight value + highest dice roll but you're only allowed to use might on the attacks of the respective hero

Shagrat is not a orc but he is a Mordor Uruk Kia that fought over the mithreal shirt at Cirith Ungol

Kind of a stretch but what about a battle in the scenario that Gandalf joined with Saruman? Gandalf/Saruman/other bad guys vs the rest of the fellowship/Galadriel/Elrond. Something like that could be cool but not sure how balancing the sides would work best

I think lurtz is D6 even with the shield cause he is also automatically equiped with a bow

the knockdown rule affects all enemy infantry models even if one of them charged you. the only things that matters are that you charged at least one of them and that they are all normal infantry.

I'm afraid Lurtz is only Defence 6, even with the shield, on account of him carrying a bow! Love your content, it's a very entertaining battle report compared to some you see online.

I believe you said Orcs move 5 inches at some point. Orcs move 6 like most other races (humans, Elves, Uruk-Hai, Trolls, Spirits etc.). Goblins and Dwarves move 5, Hobbits move 4. There are a few exceptions but the move value is always listed in their profile. flying models move 12 when they fly so most of the time you ignore their normal move value.

I do believe that uruk army lost this one because of bad rolls But then again thats bit of point of the game Also it really depends on what army you play against and with what army you play that greater numbers are better Also prioritise is sometimes so important that its a matter of winning or losing your game

Next time use orc trackers for archers,far better than normal orcs!

When you introduced Gothmog it took me a sec to remember that's the general dude as well. If Sauron doesn't have his ring, I'm pretty sure the Gothmog the Balrog would be the most powerful thing in middle earth in this age lol.

Nothing wrong with your rolling, or being an Orc, it is just a crappy rules system (in terms of hitting and defeating), which is a shame as this skirmish game should play fast and furious just like in the movie combats.
