Hi and welcome to our channel!
Who are we:
Scandinavians Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison are highly regarded designers, textile artists and authors. They are best known for their craft books and" their original, colourful and visually striking designs. Their work is highly influenced by their Scandinavian background and their everyday life in rural Norway. They work under their artist name ARNE & CARLOS, which they established in 2002.

I love the new collection. I especially like the circles and swirls. Circles and swirls always remind me of motion and movement which I find very soothing. Your color choices are wonderful. I’ve been a rowan knitter for decades, since Magazine No 1. Haven’t been inspired to knit for the last few years but you’ve now totally inspired me again! Gorgeous designs, use of yarn and stunning colour, and above all so utterly wearable and ‘now’. And I bet for many years to come! Can’t wait for some of the yarn shades to come back into stock, already have the book! Thank you, you are very talented!

Well! I’ve just finished making up your Gjoran sweater and I’m over the moon! I knew you guys had style and a wonderful eye for design and fit but I have never, in well over twenty years of knitting with Rowan yarns, been so impressed with the results of my labour. The fit is superb (I made the small size), the sleeves slim and perfect and shoulders beautifully fitted.And as for the design, colour effect, fabulous, flattering and striking. Looks like what it is, a high end designer piece! Already have the yarn to make the Dreng Scarf! Thank you so so much for giving me my interest back in knitting, and wishing you both all the best for 2021. 😀

Long ago, when we went to Norway on holidays (I was a teenager then), we were staying for a night in such an old farmhouse (it was like what is called B&B nowadays) and there were those traditional painted panels all over! Wonderful!

Beautiful pieces in the collection! I love the last pullover that Arne is wearing. The base color would be beautiful in a deep burgundy with the blue. But, they are all truly beautiful. I'm so glad that you took your design ideas from your heritage.

I just purchased the Solveig Hat pattern. I look forward to knitting it for Christmas. The entire collection is wonderful but I kept coming back to the picture of the beautiful model in the hat. Something about the colors and the woman simply spoke to me. Thank you.

This is a fabulous collection - wonderful use of colour. And I love the combination of stripes and swirls - very different and works so well. You have a great modern take on traditional designs, and it is so interesting to hear about the background to the ideas. And all the garments look so wearable - and that isn't always the case! Lovely! I really appreciate the layered colourwork patterns. Not only are they attractive, but I'm hoping they will be my "gateway" into trying more colour-work designs. My favourite of this technique is Trym, which is now in my queue; from the rest of the collection my favourites are Gjoran and the stunning Rein.

Just bought the pattern and ordered the yarn. I probably make it as a sweater with a higher neck. Thanks for bringing me back to knitting! I choose the same Felted Tweed, but a darker Kid Silk Haze. Will take me some time, but winter is coming. Tanks or your wonderful designs!

The blue and white cardigan reminds me of how Royal Copenhagen deconstructed they’re all blue and white plate patterns and in large them to only soap portions of the design to be more modern. Beautiful collection guys! Ja!

Stunning..the whole collection is perfect..the reindeer looks like a cave painting. Here in Milwaukee we call the paint Norwegian rose malling.I took a class years ago..All the pieces are beautiful,,who could pick a favorite..thx for sharing with us..👌🤗🧶👍so cool to see Arnes beetle and snowshoes,,and parts of your house and garden in the photos..

Actually, this style of painting is called rosemaling here in Norway. “Rose” in Norwegian means rose in English and “maling” in Norwegian means painting in English so rosemaling = rose painting when translated directly from Norwegian to English. This style of painting does exist in our neighbour country, Sweden also, but there, it is called kurbitsmålning.

A beautiful collection. I love the way you have used the traditional Norwegian rosemaling motifs to inspire your collection. I grew up in the Lutheran Church and have Norwegian friends who paint.
