I appreciate the video of a rare Tacoma TRD pro manual transmission with a tune! It definitely made that Tacoma wake up.

Actually still more inclined to go with Magnuson in the end. Costly yes, but the value is always there upon resale. And once you’ve owned a S/C truck, hard to go without. Almost 300k miles on my 1st gen SuperTaco now & it’s pretty awesome. The only downside is the extra cost of having to buy premium fuel.

I drive my off-road in the city manual transmission & I get 15-16. Just got the OTT tune so we'll see. But i dig it so far I'm glad i got it. The truck really needs it. & you can tell as soon as it's done the 1st time you touch your ⛽ pedal it's apparent something is different & it's for the better 😂

The traffic, here in southern California, as well as in Vegas, there’s just no way a manual transmission would be a feasible or viable option.

I can 🎯 over 70mph in 2nd ⚙️... Gearing is VERY long in 2nd & 3rd ⚙️... I don't usually rev it that high but i wanted to kno where the rev limiter was at. It's BETTER after the OTT tune tho i have the '22 TRD off-road manual transmission

Anyone have experience towing with this tune? I’m looking to purchase a low mile 3rd gen Tacoma. On the fence whether to get a manual or auto to haul a 3500 lb camp trailer.

Thanks for allowing me to assist you with questions concerning the OTT for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro. I hope that your viewers will have a better outlook that the tune will only help improve your truck performance. All I can say that is back in the day we tune our vehicles manually to get what we want when we make adjustments like to the carburetor and now we use the brain of the ECU to do it for us to make adjustments to like the fuel injection if that makes sense

Awesome to hear from a MT owner regarding tunes. Definitely something to think about but it’s not at the top of my to do list. Would like to drive it around for awhile and get a feel for the factory setting. This way I’ll have a proper comparison if/when I get a tune. BTW how did you like the feel of that TRD Pro shift knob? I’ve been debating it.. Love the looks but it doesn’t seem like it would feel right in the hand for a manual.
