@ pb plumbing. If you fit a small cutting of 4” pipe into the bent pan connector (size of slip) then put the pan connector into it. It will seal a lot better than just rely on the fins of both pan connector to make the seal

It's a pain in the ass, but found even more leaks if you stand in the shower and run the hose round. A bit of weight in the shower can reveal a whole lot more sometimes. Great vid this week as always Pete. & Marcus.

Marcus complained about overflow not been piped anywhere then fitted the toilet back the same way. It could have been piped into the top of the toilet pan bend with the other pipe

Great boiler room there. Such a great way to do a large system. It would be class if you had time if you could do a drawing of that boiler room to show how it works just in case I get a job like that to work on! Top level work as always

Got 2 knicks on my fingers . 48 hours later was getting my skin scraped off to the tendons and wrapped up in bandages to prevent sepsis.One was a small knick and one was a wet wooden splinter.

Looks like is stainless/inox coming out, we're told not to put compression fittings onto it since it doesn't bite properly into it. We press onto it. That's how it's here in Denmark anyway

You can do that as there is about a 1 inch gap between the cylinder body and the casing, all good if you use short screws 👍🏼

@@marcsmith4676 yes would still be a bit nervous on doing that lol it would probably be a good idear if the cylinder company did a clip set with the right screws as a optional extra so thers no mistakes

My favourite is oh just why your here could you just. Hahaha. Or when people reckon a boiler service will fix there crap heating system or boiler fault. Or when they ring to say ever since you’ve been my toilet doesn’t flush and you fitted them a new rad. Tough job this plumbing lark

Well, I guess that's the advantage of our north American electric water heater. There's 2 pipes, both above, with flexible connectors. Your average home owner can easily unscrew the flexible pipes, roll the thing out and roll a new one in.

@@benregler9872 you are 💯 correct mate. Clipped every 300mm with polypropylene as pvc cannot take the potential heat from a full discharge at 90 plus degrees.

Fascinating episode and even more than usual that I felt compelled to comment! Great work filming the lengths you go to for the bends in all the copper pipe - this is not a skill and confidence level every qualified plumber will have! Rip all that push fit waste out it should be banned it is so subpar it's unreal! Thumbs up.

Awesome work Pete!, how do you get away with running relief valves into pvc pipes and into the toilet connector? If we did that in New Zealand we’d be raked over the coals for that, we have to run the relief drains in 22mm copper outside over a gully 😊

You can if fitting a dry trap from the tundish that's been temperature rated and use push fit polypropylene sized up the usual way. You just have to make sure that the stack is suitable for the overflow temps, connect it in directly and clearly label it

@@DunkiSTI the pan connector isn't, it shouldn't be going into a pan connector or any sanitary branch and should be going directly into the stack. Unless PB changed it afterwards it's not a G3 compliant install and shouldn't be signed off

This is my first comment ever but I’ve got to ask , 1 how do you know the cylinder is full being open vent without a visual of the water level , as I can imagine it’s very easy to go over the open vent (since it’s within the cylinder ) and due to evaporation of the cylinder being hot almost continuously wouldn’t the home owner have to top it up from Time to time as it has an open vent, I’m assuming it’s acting like a usual F/E tank without the automatic top up

Regarding the t shirts ...as you already mentioned its a tight large or baggy around the wasist x large. Please chose the x large as most men would. You already have a particular vibe and trust me tight t shirts dont help. I really dont mean to be disrespectful.

Do you need a non return valve on the PRV where it goes into the toilet waste? Wouldn't want your toilet flushing into the tank 😂

Good videos. The prv is connected to the toilet pan, but I did not see a trap. Don’t you have an issue with sewer gas potentially coming into the cylinder room?

Soo... where did you plumb the toilet overflow ? Into the pan waste too ? And if so ,was there possibly a pipe dropped away from the original overflow pipework... and if thats so, wouldn't the flat upstairs flood in here if their toilet overflowed ?? I'm not a plumber... I'm here to learn 🤗

Looked the like the toilet syphon had been replaced at some point with a dudley turbo88 new type syphon, which has an internal overflow that goes into the pan. So they could have blanked the overflow off.

Cut through the pan connector extension! No need to take toilet out! Also shouldn’t orb discharge where it can be seen???

It can be seen at the tundish In the cylinder cupboard. It's permissable to use the soil or waste system because of difficult D2 discharges in flats etc

It would cost over 13K to fill that oil tank at that big house! What did you do about about the overflow on the bog that didn't go anywhere? (on the unvented job)
