Interesting boiler mounting bracket, assumes the 2 fixing holes will going into brick and be a solid fix. Clearly designer has never fitted a boiler in an old house with lime mortar, soft or blue bricks. Mentioned this on another combi swap video on a new model to the market, manufacturer contacted me to advise the next batch of plates would have 3 times the fixing holes and at non linear locations. Good job you work out, 90% of the plumbers I know would have dropped that on the toilet 🚽

I I need to get a boiler out of a narrow space, or if it is a particularly heavy one, I always strip out as many components as I can if it doesn’t take too long. It’s already drained anyway so I might as well save my back, fingers etc. by just lifting out the casing 😁

Don't under estimate how much time it takes to do a tidy van conversion. (loads) I've done a couple now and we have the same trade background and type of kit , so you should have no worries. You use a jigsaw loads, tracksaw if you build cupboards and you need a small router with a special bit for putting the knock on edge trims on ply units. Good luck and I look forward to the vids . :-)

Good afternoon, great KZfaq content. Always look forward to a new KZfaq upload from PB Plumber. Anyway, I don’t like to go off track, but I would be very grateful if any experienced gas engineer can give me some advice. A few years ago when I was gas training, my gas trainer told me that a combi boiler can be installed in zone 2 of a bathroom - only if there is nowhere else in the property to install it (I presume that he meant that’s ok if the boiler is in a purpose built cupboard with RCD, or if the boiler manufacturer gives permission to do so) ? Anyhow, I can’t find this info anywhere? Be great if somebody can point me in the correct direction. Thanks, N
